When I was at Cambridge in the late 1950s, I became of member of the Cambridge Canada Club. In the summer of 1960 and 1961 I took advantage of air charters organized by this club to fly to North America for the summer vacation period. The Club shartered two Air France operated Boeing 707s to fly us from London to New York in early June and return in mid September. We paid around 75 pounds each for the return flight! Better yet, we had permission to get paid work in Canada, though we were not allowed to work in the USA.
65 years later I am following the interactions that are going on between the USA and its Trump administration and Canada. The contrast between Prime Minister ........ Carney and Donald Trump is
