I cannot understand this refusal to process
I am 85 years old but also the warpath and will find the source of this dysfunction and do my best to hold those responsible to account!
For some reason a debit card issued by a local bank ... a VISA brand card ... will not allow me to charge a service being offered by Robert Reich on the web!
Earlier in the day, I used the same payment procedure to buy some 'product' with no problemn ... but this attempt to pay for intellectual material from Robert Reich did not process ... see the image below
It turned out that my local bank had flagged what they considered might be 'suspicious activity' and blocked my account pending confirmation by me in person ... that is via some electonic communication with an autheniticated me!
Unfortunately I have been 'scammed' in the not too distant past ... in fact twice ... and I am cautious, though also somewhat badly informed.
It turns out that attempts to contact me via the national scam alert system was not getting a response from me.
This was because I was trying to avoid triggering a scam on my (new) smart phone and was avoiding answering anything associated with this 888 number.
All of this was happening during the weekend where systems were mainly running on auto-pilot with little human intervention. When the Monday workday got going my local bank became satisfied that there was no hack ... so one problem resolved.
But I still have to figure out what happens to the payment I did ... or maybe did not make ... to an individual / organization that I respect a lot more than most!
