Trump appears to be 'doing a lot' ... and maybe some of this actually needs to be done. My impression, however, is that Trump will get more wrong than he gets right. Sadly ... America has embraced the idea that 'might is right' for all of my adult lifetime and more ... essentially since the end of WWII and then the period of the 'cold war' with the Soviet Union. But the stark reality is that most of America's military interventions over the past 7 or so decades have been huge failures ... VietNam ... Afghanistan ... parts of the Middle East ... Bits of Africa ... and so on. The world has tolerated the incompetence of the United States in world affairs for many decades. Many countries have chosen to be 'friends' with the United States because there was considerable value to this and a relatively low downside. Now, with Trump and Musk driving the US agenda, many of the former friends of the USA will be reevaluating the relationship and likely will determine that the Trump / Musk agenda is going to be far too costly with little upside for former friends! It is not clear yet what international former friends of the USA will do to 'push back' against the Trump Musk administration ... but something serious is likely. Nor is it clear what employees and former employees of the US Government will do in the days and weeks ahead. Trump and Musk seem to be 'acting' as fast as they possibly can and without much if any concern about 'legality'. Some of us understand this playbook. In my own case I have been in several countries around the world during the time when they were going through Presidential coups. This was during the period from the 1970s to the early 2000s by which time I had become too nervous to be effective. However, some 20 years later ... much older and perhaps a little wiser ... I do not plan to accept what Trump is orchestrating at the top of the USA in collaboration with Musk and a cabal of misinformed supporters. For me ... it is crystal clear that much of the problem of right now is associated with misinformation which has been weaponised brilliantly and maliciously

Just after noon ET, Donald Trump took to his Truth Social account to boast that he ordered an overseas attack less than two weeks after taking office.
Without providing much in the way of details, and using the claimed attack to bash his predecessor President Joe Biden, Trump wrote, 'This morning I ordered precision Military air strikes on the Senior ISIS Attack Planner and other terrorists he recruited and led in Somalia. These killers, who we found hiding in caves, threatened the United States and our Allies'
He then claimed, 'The strikes destroyed the caves they live in, and killed many terrorists without, in any way, harming civilians. Our Military has targeted this ISIS Attack Planner for years, but Biden and his cronies wouldn’t act quickly enough to get the job done. I did! '
'The message to ISIS and all others who would attack Americans is that 'WE WILL FIND YOU, AND WE WILL KILL YOU!'' he added.
