the answer it is never the answer and part of why I and I'm sure so many of you are working so hard to prevent Donald Trump from taking power again is precisely because we don't want to validate the use of violence as a political tool which Donald Trump has obviously done numerous times from promising his supporters that that he would pay their legal bills if they beat up protesters all the way to the events of January 6 violence is not the answer it makes this whole thing more dangerous for everyone myself included and it is not why any of us got into this I've watched the responses to the shooting and just as sickening as the shooting itself has been the response to it there have been a number of Republicans who without skipping a beat have exploited these events to attack Joe Biden or the Democrats Mike Collins a republican lawmaker from Georgia tweeted Joe Biden sent the order Margie teller green wrote We are in a battle between good and evil the Democrats are the party of pedophiles 1:01 murdering the innocent unborn violence and bloody meaningless and endless Wars the Democrat Party is Flatout evil and yesterday they tried to murder president Trump JD Vance wrote today is not just some isolated incident the central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all cost that rhetoric led directly to president Trump's attempted assassination and of course Lauren bobbert posted this I I do believe that Joe Biden is responsible for the shooting today Kyle Clark an innocent supporter of President Trump someone who loved president Trump and was their exercising their right to support him lost their life today everyone who has called him a fascist everyone who has called him a threat to democracy who said that he should be put in a bullseye as Joe Biden said uh they need to have some very deep reflection tonight before another tra 2:00 like this takes place first of all the Democratic party and Joe Biden did not try to assassinate Donald Trump the shooter was a registered Republican in fact because that's inconvenient for the narrative now conservatives are saying stuff like this don't read too much into the political affiliation because James Comey also a registered Republican apparently political affiliation is only exploitable if it fits the Republican narrative otherwise if it doesn't bolster Jesse waters's claims then it's suddenly a moot point do you think that Jesse would have been claiming that political affiliation isn't important if he was a registered Democrat and beyond that reporters from the Philadelphia Inquirer spoke to classmates of the shooter and they were very clear about the fact that the kid was a conservative one passage from the reporting says that a classmate of the shooter recalled a mock debate in which their history Professor posed government policy questions and asked students to stand on one side of the classroom or the other to Signal their support or opposition for a given proposal quote the majority of the class were on the liberal side 3:01 but Tom no matter what always stood his ground on the conservative side that's still the picture I have of him just standing alone on one side while the rest of the class was on the other so I wanted to make that clear right off the bat because the right has a long long history of scapegoating democrats for things that Democrats have nothing to do with why a conservative would try to assassinate the Conservative candidate in this race is beyond me but certainly had nothing to do with Joe Biden or the left but to JD Vance's tweet this idea that calling Trump a fascist led to his assassination attempt let's discuss that 3:36 first of all Donald Trump is a fascist 3:38 that doesn't mean assassinate him but he 3:41 is a fascist he wants to consolidate 3:43 power into the executive branch he wants 3:44 to use the military as a weapon to 3:46 suppress descent he wants an army of 3:48 loyalists to do his bidding he wants to 3:49 be a dictator he wants to suspend the Constitution those are his words by the way things that he said so yes he is a fascist but Vance has unilaterally decided to reverse engineer way to blame 4:00 the left and that is by pointing to the things that the left is absolutely correct and justified in saying which is acknowledging the objective reality that Trump is a fascist and deciding that because that's now the cause of the shooting that everyone on the left who said it is suddenly responsible that's not only insane and dangerous but it's just a bad faith way to absolve the people who are perpetuating the violence while blaming the people who have long since condemned the violence it's not the Democrat or Biden who told 4:31 rally-goers again to beat up protesters 4:33 and that we'd pay for their legal bills 4:35 that was Trump it's not the Democrats or 4:37 Biden who laughed at Paul Pelosi being 4:40 bludgeon with a hammer that was Trump is 4:42 not the Democrats or Biden who called 4:43 for military tribunals for Liz Cheney 4:45 that was Trump wasn't Democrats or Biden 4:48 who called for General Mark Millie to be 4:49 executed that was Trump it's not the 4:51 Democrats or Biden who posted a baseball bat photo with Alvin Bragg and threatened death and destruction if he was charged that was Trump is not the Dem rats or Biden who reposted images on 5:01 the two social showing Biden hog tied in the bed of a truck that was Trump it's not the Democrats or Biden who laughed off a kidnapping plot against gret and Whitmer that was Trump we don't want Trump in power because we don't want violence so let's not get it twisted in fact you want to see the difference on display here for example is the less reaction to this shooting AOC there's no place for political violence including the horrific incident we just witnessed in Pennsylvania it is absolutely unacceptable and must be denounced in the strongest terms my heart goes out to all the victims and I wish the former 5:33 president a speedy recovery Chris Murphy 5:36 there's no room in America for political 5:37 violence we should all condemn what 5:39 happened today and I'm hoping for the 5:40 health of the former president and 5:42 everyone else at the rally and Joe Biden 5:44 there is no place in America for this 5:46 kind of violence or for any violence 5:49 ever period no exceptions we can't allow 5:53 this violence to be normalized meanwhile 5:56 here's how the right reacted when it's a 5:57 Democrat who's the victim Paul P's 5:59 bludgeon with a hammer and Don Jr posts 6:02 got my Paul Pelosi Halloween costume ready here's Margie till green getting her audience to boo Paul Pelosi at a rally where Americans are robbed stabbed raped kidnapped carjacked and murdered but only the only crime victim you hear about from Democrats and the media is Paul Pelosi and of course Trump himself poking fun at Paul Pelosi after he was attacked and we'll stand up to crazy 6:37 Nancy Pelosi who ruined San 6:42 Francisco how's her husband doing by the 6:44 way anybody 6:49 know and she's against building a wall 6:52 at our border even though she has a wall 6:54 around her house which obviously didn't 6:57 do a very good job 7:00 so no both parties are not the same let's not pretend that one doesn't immediately and unequivocally condemn violence while the other one Revels in it the only difference is that the Pearl clutching on the right only begins when the violence happens to them and there in lies the real difference here the left doesn't want any political violence while the right is fine with it so long as it doesn't impact them there's also the fact that had the Democrats got in 7:24 their way guns like this wouldn't even 7:27 be available to the general public it is 7:28 the Republic an who block any and all 7:31 efforts to ban assault weapons like the 7:33 ones that was used in Pennsylvania they 7:35 did it at the federal level when Senate 7:37 Republicans blocked the legislation and 7:39 Pennsylvania Republicans to use this 7:41 state uh for example did it at the state 7:43 level when a Democrat controlled 7:45 Pennsylvania House committee passed a 7:46 bill Banning the sale of assault weapons 7:48 against the unanimous opposition of 7:50 Republicans on that panel only for the 7:52 legislation to be tabled in the 7:53 Pennsylvania assembly once it faced 7:55 opposition from the state's Republican 7:57 lawmakers and the National Rifle ass 7:59 Association the NRA in fact Trump 8:02 himself signed the bill revoking Obama error checks for people with mental illness he wanted mentally ill people to be able to buy guns not the left not Joe Biden but Donald Trump so again remember that if Democrats had their way these guns wouldn't be available for sale and certainly not to the mentally ill but Republicans ensured that that wouldn't happen and so now a clearly Disturbed 20-year-old had access to a weapon that he used to try and assassinate a politi from 150 yard away all thanks to 8:31 policies backed by the GOP and the Very 8:34 politician whose life was almost taken I 8:37 would hope that would serve as a proof 8:38 point to pass Common Sense gun reforms 8:40 that 90% of this country would agree 8:42 with but you and I both know that 8:43 Republicans aren't interested in doing 8:45 that so I'll end with the same message 8:47 that I started with violence is never 8:49 the answer and that is precisely why we 8:52 are working so hard to make sure that 8:54 Trump and Republicans do not take power 8:56 in November it's because we don't want 8:58 to validate the preferred tool of a 9:00 party that for years has used it as a cudel against the left so while the right May leverage this disgusting act for their own partisan benefit do not be fooled into thinking that they have the moral High Ground there is only one party that has staunchly uniformly and unequivocally condemned violence and it's not the party of Donald Trump
