So yesterday, Alexandria made her first ever contribution to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee after successfully pushing them to dedicate her dues entirely to the Voter Protection Program.
Democrats will now have the resources to protect every vote in every state from the MAGA movement actively trying to overturn our democracy this November.
“The entire country saw a terrorist attack on the Capitol,” Alexandria explained. “If anybody thinks that was not a dress rehearsal for what they may attempt in January 2025, I’m sorry to say I think that’s a very naïve assumption.”

Alexandria made waves for refusing to pay dues to the D.C.C.C. when she was first elected, which for a time blacklisted vendors who worked with progressives that challenged establishment incumbents — like AOC.
In turn, Alexandria started Courage to Change, a leadership PAC to support people-first progressive candidates who fight tooth and nail for social, racial, economic, and environmental justice.
The entirety of House leadership has changed since 2018, and now this year the left must win as many elections as possible to halt the immediate threat of fascism and expand our strength in Congress to chart a path of policy transformation.
