WALL STREET JOURNAL I DON'T WANT TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE MURDOCH MEDIA EMPIRE ... IT HURTS, BUT MURDOCH IS A MENACE! Original article: Peter Burgess COMMENTARY I DON'T WANT TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE MURDOCH MEDIA EMPIRE ... IT HURTS, BUT MURDOCH IS A MENACE! In some ways the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) does a good job of reporting serious news ... but not always. The Australian patriarch of the Murdoch media empire has been a fierce competitor in Australia, the UK and the USA ... a maybe other media markets that I don't know about. Sadly ... this sort of competitions leaves a lot of bad behind it though it may be superb for the 'top dog'. One of my friends of a friend joined the Murdoch team in New York back in the 1980s. He shared some of his early experiences in the Murdoch team with our little group and what I have observed of the Murdoch organization over the subsequent 40+ years went pretty much as per the Murdoch playbook. Hours after the ship fire, a large fire broke out at an oil refinery near the Iranian capital. Leakage in a liquefied petroleum gas pipeline at the facility caused an explosion and fire, the head of Tehran’s crisis management team told state television. He said that no one had been harmed. It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the fire. Hot summer weather has caused similar fires in the past. Copyright ©2024 Dow Jones & Company, Inc.
