I have some familiarity with the work of the international 'development' community and am less than enthusiastic about the 'management performance' in this important segment of the world's socio-enviro-economic system. The 'goals' are well meaning, but often serve more to impede their accomplishment than to facilitate. Most of this is probably unintentional, though I am increasingly convinced that there is some involvement of bad actors as well.

'REDD' stands for 'Reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries.
'REDD+'
The '+' stands for additional forest-related activities that protect the climate, namely sustainable management of forests and the conservation and enhancement of forest carbon stocks.
What are the five REDD+ activities and what do they mean?
