The role of what I have been describing as 'financialization' for more than 30 years has been very good for investors and 'owners' of economic assets, but has been less good for everyone else.
The enabling of financialization is not a new skill ... the weaponization of misinformation has existed for millenia, but the speed that misinformation can move in modern times is faster than anything every experience before, and accordingly incredibly powerful and dangerous.
