Terry Smith, the star fund manager, stood to earn at least £36 million last year after his investment business enjoyed record annual profits.
Accounts filed at Companies House show Fundsmith LLP reported profits of £58.2 million in the 12 months to March, up from £57.7 million a year earlier. A single member of the partnership, thought to be Smith, took home the lion’s share, £36.4 million. This is the largest profit share distributed by the group to one of its members, according to an analysis by The Times.
