When considering the array of benefits that independent boarding schools in the UK provide students, it is clear that ranking them solely based on their academic results does not give a complete picture of the true standings of each school. However, owing to the intangibility of the benefits which makes statistical analysis impossible, a ranking based just on academic results becomes the most logical choice. As Tony Little, the ex-headmaster of Eton College said, “There is more to education than league tables” so if you are viewing this table to help you select a school, use additional sources of information (prospectuses, agents, visits, etc.) to make an informed decision.
