Getting ready for your visit to the Poconos !!!!!!!!!
Peter Burgess Saturday, April 30th, 12:50 PM Dear Dawn Yesterday, I went to 'Member Services' to pick up the new amenity badges getting ready for your upcoming visit to the Poconos. It did not go as planned, and it turns out I cannot get the new amenity badges until you have done their paperwork and I have your written permission to be given the badges. I tried to get the office to check on the 'Power of Attorney' that you gave me when we were rebuilding the house, but they did not have a record of this ... which did not come as a surprise since there have been many personnel changes in the office and the Saw Creek management. If you had been with me asking for the new amenity badges, they would have had you sign this ... I have to keep reminding myself that this is the United States of America where legal paperwork rules the day !!!!!!!!!! I did my fair share of grumbling and I was eventually told by the lady that is now apparently the General Manager for the community that if you send an e-mail to this address memberservices@sawcreek.org they will be able to release the amenity badges to me ahead of your Memorial Weekend visit. Exactly what should be in the e-mail is not clear ... at one level they were saying nothing moves until they have a signed copy of the Amenity_Access_Release document but I was also told that a e-mail from you would be enough to have them release the badges. I will call to discuss ... and hopefully I will be able to get my phone to function !!!!!!. Good looking day today ... but pretty cold Best Peter PS ... I think you know that our old General Manager was fired by the Saw Creek Board a couple of years back. They recruited a replacement from North (or South) Carolina who had never worked outside his state, but he only lasted a few months. I don't know what it was that had him depart ... They have now appointed a 'management company' to run things as of a few weeks ago ... and some people think that this is a very bad move ... we shall see. I have rejoined 'The Saw Creek Mens Club' to try to get up to speed on what is going on ... there are staff shortages everywhere ... and both opportunities and pitfalls as Covid and other risks emerge and recede ... _____________________________ Peter Burgess ...
