I had lunch at a Red Robin yesterday. No grumble at all about the food I ordered and the service generally which was pretty good ... but I am nevertheless disgusted and mad-as-hell. I ordered a Stella Artois beer and then a second one. I wasn't driving and the bottle was rather small. In fact it is the smallest beer bottle I have ever seen (11.2 fl oz). It is also by far the highest price I have ever been charged for beer in my very long life ... each bottle was $8.99. I do not have a copy of the menu with me, but I don't think there was a 'price' on the menu.

This is the sort of corporate 'gaming' of customers that I have observed getting more and more blatant over my adult life (more than 60 years). I expect to use this experience as a 'case study' as I engage with young people who are seriously disappointed at the appalling corporate behavior that they see everywhere. In the UK, where I grew up there is a Weights and Measures department that exists to ensure that a 'pint' is a pint and not some 'short measure'. I have been in the USA for more than 60 years and have never seen 'downsizing' practiced so aggressively as is happening right now. Shame on corporate leadershp that is laughing all the way to the bank!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for contacting to us. Someone will respond to you shortly.
