Defense spending has passed 8.5% of GDP, inflation is 45%, and the ruble is crumbling. From the Rezonit complex to Yelabuga, from missile guidance plants to ammunition depots—we break down the collapse, the consequences, and what this means for the war.k 📉 This isn’t just a military crisis. Peter Burgess COMMENTARY This is three hours long ... and fascinating. I was 8 days too young to be 'called up' for compulsory military service in the UK when I was 18 years old, but was in a 'cadet corps' as a schoolboy and a military training program as a university student. A university, I studied engineering and economics. I got to understand a bit the difference between 'civil' engineering and 'military' engineering. In addition to engineering and economics, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in London and got some formal training in 'management' with an industrial company. Fast forward several decades, and I remain fascinated by the changes that have taken place in military engineering, especially during times of 'hot' war. This video is very thought provoking in this regard. This video is very long ... around 3 hours ... and difficult to absorb in a clear, coherent manner. I am struck by the 'intelligence' that has become embedded in quite small pieces of military hardware which contrasts with the brute strength of a lot of military machinery of the past. I have difficulty absorbing all the content ... and also have a concern about the factual accuracy of what gets into YouTube presentations ... but I have learned something, though I want to be careful given the 'spam' that does exist. For the moment I have disabled the transcript ... but have it for future analysis! Peter Burgess Transcript SEE ??? txt00028965 |
