Trump's birthday parade on Saturady, June 4th was very expensive, boring, and a complete 'bust'.
At the same time, across thousands of communities across the USA, there were 'No Kings' marches ... likely more than 2,000 of them.
Better, almost all these demonstrations ... gatherings, marches ... were violence free.
It is also noteworthy that one of the areas of violence in the country was a small area in Los Angelles, largely caused by the presence of Trump's 'out of town' national gaurds, marines and aremed law enforcement ... none of whom were deployed by either the Governor of the State or the Maor of the City!
In the UK, a Prime Minister is removed when there is a vote of 'no confidence' in the House of Commons. This is so much more sensible than the US system where it is almost impossible to remove a President prior to the next election which only comes every four years. Even though Tump was impeached twice ... he was not removed from office because of some procedural rulea and partisan nonsense!
The Santa Ana march and demonstrations were noisy. If there was a 'message', I do not know what it was.
A lot of other demonstrations around the USA had a much clearer message.
One has to hope that the mid-term elections in 2026 will take power away from the Republicans in the Senate, the House, and a multitude of local elections! The damage Republicans have done to the United States in recent years is distressing. MAGA Trump supporters are partly to blame, but also rich corporate offices and investors need to be held to account.
