- Intro
- another reverse week for the trucking
- industry i'm actually sitting in a
- Seattle Washington right now without a
- load i don't have no load right now i
- dropped my load 8:00 in the morning and
- it's already 1:00 that I'm sitting here
- waiting for the load a lot of people
- been asking me does it going to get
- fixed is it going to get better i have
- no clue what is going to happen because
- day by day it's getting worse and worse
- i have no clue trucking and freight
- layoffs are exploding across the nation
- especially in states like California
- where on top of the tariffs and
- quantitative tightening they've also
- doomed themselves by implementing EV
- standards that they can't even afford to
- maintain now despite these surging
- trucker layoffs economists are
- predicting that the worst of these
- layoffs has not even begun yet as they
- estimate that the explosion is going to
- take place of trucker layoffs the end of
- this month and into June and yet another
- example that the US economy is so toxic
- 1:02
- so riddled with debt and debauchery that
- the only chance each and every one of us
- has at living a comfortable life again
- you remember what that was like is a
- total implosion and reset in the US
- economy now truckers right now are
- panicking as there appears to be
- absolutely no relief in sight but the
- question is this you guys is what does
- all this mean to you and I and welcome
- back to Real Estate Mindset you guys
- already know that this video is going to
- be absolutely bonkers mitch Vexler how
- are you today sir it's an interesting
- topic you have people that obviously are
- in the trucking and you have other
- people that are in the shipping it's
- interesting that the shipping coming out
- of China they're saying 'Well all the
- boats are loaded and it's a mass
- quantity coming over.' Yet here the
- trucking doesn't correlate to what
- you're seeing in the shipping so
- somebody's not telling the truth but
- we'll try to get to the bottom of it no
- 2:00
- one's ever telling the truth Mitch no
- 2:02
- one is ever never telling the truth at
- 2:05
- least not to the public because they
- 2:06
- need us to continue to be delusional and
- 2:09
- continue to
- 2:10
- indep either way we're going to start
- 2:13
- with a video breakdown of exactly what's
- Trucker Layoffs
- 2:16
- happening with trucker layoffs well
- 2:19
- Nicole we're hearing words like bad and
- 2:22
- dire and even crisis we're standing next
- 2:25
- to a bunch of truck chassis because
- 2:28
- they're parked and they're not in use
- 2:30
- and look on the other side there uh
- 2:32
- they're stacked up and in this truck
- 2:34
- alone there are about a hundred chassis
- 2:37
- stacked up because they don't need them
- 2:41
- they're typically out on the roadways
- 2:43
- like everyone else along America's
- 2:45
- massive supply chain truckers expect
- 2:48
- things to go from bad to worse
- 2:54
- this yard cost us money this equipment
- 2:57
- cost us money our chassis cost us money
- 2:59
- our employees cost us money electricity
- 3:01
- cost us money right so after 6 months I
- 3:04
- I would say we would be in pretty dire
- 3:06
- situations and that's just us and
- 3:08
- there's hundreds of companies like us
- 3:11
- who would probably be in this most
- 3:12
- likely be in the same situation if not
- 3:14
- worse
- 3:17
- for height logistics here in Long Beach
- 3:19
- the situation is compounded by a very
- 3:22
- expensive company shift to a clean fleet
- 3:25
- over 20 big rig EVs with price tags of
- 3:29
- about
- 3:30
- $500,000 each due to far less freight to
- 3:33
- haul the company started layoffs this
- 3:36
- week and cut all trucker shifts by half
- 3:40
- there's word of similar tightening at
- 3:42
- other trucking companies and even some
- 3:45
- going out of business the dire times
- 3:48
- triggered by the nose dive in freight
- 3:50
- traffic specifically imports from China
- 3:54
- nearly half of which are typically
- 3:57
- handled by the ports here in Southern
- 4:00
- California now the outlook is grim for
- 4:03
- the rest of the year with a drop of 20%
- 4:07
- in imports overall but look at this a
- 4:10
- monstrous dive of up to 80% of goods
- 4:14
- from China long before the trade war
- 4:17
- California had moved to end the sale of
- 4:19
- gas powered big rigs after 2035 but now
- 4:23
- the Trump administration is pumping the
- 4:25
- brakes on that as it pushes for more
- 4:28
- American manufacturing so we hear all
- 4:31
- kinds of reasons why the economy is
- 4:33
- doing bad all kinds of reasons for these
- 4:35
- layoffs so can you articulate can you
- 4:38
- explain to us you know what's the real
- What is Causing the Mass Layoffs?
- 4:40
- reason here is it EV requirements is it
- 4:43
- the quantitative tightening that's been
- 4:45
- happening the last 3 years is it the
- 4:47
- fraud greed and corruption that's been
- 4:49
- happening forever or is it the tariffs
- 4:53
- what's causing the most recent surge in
- 4:55
- trucker layoffs
- 4:58
- it's a combination of all the above the
- 5:01
- tariffs is kind of an interesting
- 5:04
- smaller component of the current problem
- 5:08
- best way I can explain it so the tariffs
- 5:11
- have a trickle down effect my engineer
- 5:15
- owns a building in Windsor and his
- 5:18
- tenants have gone monthtomonth this is
- 5:20
- an industrial building and the tenants
- 5:22
- have gone monthtomonth due to the fact
- 5:25
- that they don't know if they will get
- 5:28
- their contracts and these are tenants
- 5:30
- that manufacture machines so they don't
- 5:32
- know if they'll get their contracts to
- 5:34
- keep their business going because it's
- 5:37
- tied obviously to the auto industry
- 5:38
- being out of Windsor so it's fear of the
- 5:42
- unknown in the current situation with
- 5:45
- these trucking companies i don't
- 5:48
- appreciate the fact that the press or
- 5:50
- who'sever giving the narrative is trying
- 5:52
- to conflate multiple issues where it's
- 5:56
- simply not necessary pull them apart one
- 5:57
- at a time
- 5:59
- so the idea that long haul trucks should
- 6:02
- go EV is sheer insanity there is no math
- 6:05
- to back that up the cost per energy
- 6:10
- unit cannot compete with diesel the cost
- 6:14
- per energy unit cannot compete with
- 6:17
- simply saying 'I'm going to go and buy a
- 6:19
- used truck big big rig
- 6:22
- diesel from a company that's already
- 6:24
- gone broke and I'll pick that up for 25
- 6:26
- cents on the dollar.' that is available
- 6:28
- today you can do that so instead of
- 6:30
- buying a big rig truck at 180,000
- 6:33
- 200,000 you're going to be able to pick
- 6:35
- these things up at 75 because the market
- 6:37
- will get flooded there's simply no way
- 6:40
- that a battery operated quote long haul
- 6:42
- truck and there's no such thing but
- 6:44
- that's what the press will tell you it
- 6:46
- can't be done it's the same thing that
- 6:48
- well I can have a electric vehicle and I
- 6:50
- get 400 miles that's great but if you
- 6:53
- want to run past 400 miles you're going
- 6:54
- to have to pull over and get powered up
- 6:57
- that makes these trucking facilities and
- 6:59
- these people saying 'Well we're going to
- 7:01
- switch to EV electric.' Complete
- 7:04
- nonsense and if they say 'Well we're
- 7:06
- going to switch to natural gas.' You
- 7:08
- have the exact same issue you're going
- 7:10
- to have to pull over and get refuelled
- 7:12
- so natural gas is good ev on a long haul
- 7:16
- truck complete nonsense but they
- 7:19
- conflate these stories and they're not
- 7:20
- in the same parallel the tariffs aren't
- 7:22
- in the same parallel so for the truckers
- 7:26
- the tariffs temporarily are creating a
- 7:28
- shock for the truck company the owners
- 7:32
- they're creating a bigger shock because
- 7:33
- everything is a strata and it
- 7:37
- becomes self-fulfilling until quote the
- 7:40
- tariffs and or whatever that shock is is
- 7:43
- reduced but it doesn't solve the
- 7:44
- underlying problem the trucking
- 7:47
- companies are debted up just like
- 7:48
- everybody else it's the debt it's the
- 7:50
- debt it's the debt that's the problem
- 7:53
- that everybody is facing and the reason
- 7:56
- why it's so important to keep those the
- 7:58
- truckers employed obviously because
- 8:00
- those trucks don't move goods don't move
- 8:03
- so it's a problem few bullet points
- 8:05
- trucker layoffs in the United States
- 8:06
- have become widespread and severe in
- 8:10
- 2025 impacting thousands of drivers and
- 8:13
- reshaping the entire transportation
- 8:16
- sector in response to major economic
- 8:18
- pressures trade policy and declining
- 8:21
- demand layoffs in trucking and related
- 8:24
- freight industries have surged with over
- 8:27
- 30,000 freight related job cuts
- 8:29
- announced since the beginning of year
- 8:31
- affecting not just truck drivers but
- 8:34
- also workers in food production
- 8:36
- manufacturing warehousing and logistics
- 8:39
- more than 3,500 additional job cuts have
- 8:43
- been reported since April 30th alone so
- 8:46
- those are just the layoffs from the
- 8:48
- layoffs the imposition of steep tariffs
- 8:50
- especially the 145% tariff on Chinese
- 8:54
- imports has triggered a sharp reduction
- 8:57
- in container ship arrivals leading to a
- 9:00
- dramatic drop in freight that needs to
- 9:02
- be transported by truck economists
- 9:05
- forecast a 20% decline in total imports
- 9:08
- and up to 80% in Chinese goods for the
- 9:11
- remainder of the year directly reducing
- 9:14
- demand for trucking services the broader
- 9:17
- industry and economic pressures the
- 9:19
- trucking industry is facing what many
- 9:21
- describe as the Great Freight Recession
- 9:24
- categorized by plummeting freight rates
- 9:27
- excessive trucking capacity and rising
- 9:30
- operational costs for fuel labor
- 9:32
- insurance and new vehicle requirements
- 9:35
- summary table for key layoff statistics
- 9:38
- in trucking in 2025 so January through
- 9:42
- May there was over 30,000
- 9:45
- layoffs in freight food manufacturing
- 9:48
- warehouse and logistics april 30th and
- 9:51
- on there was over 3,500 in food
- 9:53
- producers logistic firms manufacturing
- 9:56
- and retail spring of 2025 another 250
- 10:00
- drivers and firm layoffs but look at
- 10:02
- this guys this is crazy this is saying
- 10:04
- in late May and in June there's going to
- 10:06
- be an additional round of mass layoffs
- 10:09
- in trucking and in retail and we're
- 10:11
- going to experience waves as the full
- 10:15
- impact of tariffs are felt at least
- 10:17
- that's what this is saying mitch would
- Will Things Get Worse for Truckers?
- 10:19
- you agree with what that was saying do
- 10:21
- you think that the real surge of
- 10:23
- trucking and freight layoffs hasn't even
- 10:26
- got here yet because the tariffs
- 10:29
- widespread anyways aren't really felt
- 10:32
- yet would you agree with that
- 10:36
- it's going to get a lot worse let's put
- 10:37
- it that way the the tariffs like I said
- 10:40
- are just a small current today component
- 10:43
- part of the problem the much bigger
- 10:46
- problem again we're back to the pink
- 10:48
- elephant dancing in the room is the debt
- 10:50
- so the trucking companies have the debt
- 10:53
- but the bigger point that I want to make
- 10:55
- is that these issues are all
- 10:59
- interconnected so trucking goes to the
- 11:02
- retail outlets retail goes to mom and
- 11:05
- pop you've got logistics up and down
- 11:08
- that chain so it touches real estate why
- 11:12
- well inside of all those elements you
- 11:15
- will need refrigeration you will need
- 11:17
- refrigerated storage you're back to real
- 11:19
- estate so then you need logistics in
- 11:22
- into transportation of industrial goods
- 11:24
- so that you're back to real
- 11:26
- estate if they can't pay the real estate
- 11:29
- can't pay the mortgage because the
- 11:30
- tenants are leaving you have a circular
- 11:33
- global expansion as a direct result of
- 11:36
- the debt as a direct result a smaller
- 11:39
- component of the tariffs but the debt is
- 11:41
- a much bigger problem and once this
- 11:43
- thing starts to unwind it gets bigger
- 11:45
- it's like a snowball it just gets bigger
- 11:46
- and bigger and bigger and that's the
- 11:48
- problem what you're seeing now is
- 11:51
- nothing as compared to what it may end
- 11:53
- up being because the system will blow up
- 11:56
- as a direct result of the debt at
- 11:59
- multiple levels caused by the Federal
- 12:00
- Reserve when they print money and caused
- 12:03
- by the central appraisal districts when
- 12:04
- they fraudulently create overvaluation
- 12:06
- and overt taxation on behalf of the
- 12:09
- school districts the trucking companies
- 12:11
- make no mistake they're in it on both
- 12:14
- levels the federal level and they suffer
- 12:17
- from it at the local level because all
- 12:19
- real estate is local so trucking
- 12:21
- companies are getting hit just like mom
- 12:23
- and
- 12:24
- pop whether they survive or not to be
- 12:27
- determined and all of this stuff that
- 12:29
- you're saying is a nationwide problem
- 12:31
- the Federal Reserve that's a federal
- 12:33
- nationwide problem the central appraisal
- 12:34
- districts that's a nationwide problem
- 12:37
- locally so there these are nationwide
- 12:39
- problems but the next video that we're
- 12:41
- going to play is on Texas and there are
- 12:43
- people saying that Texas this is going
- 12:46
- to be a speed bump that Texas is
- 12:47
- actually immune they're saying Texas is
- 12:50
- immune to these layoffs and it's not
- 12:52
- going to create a recession and also I
- 12:54
- want to say that according to this video
- 12:56
- there's
- 12:58
- 163,000 companies trucking companies in
- 13:01
- Texas so to me if there's a problem in
- trucking Texas is going to feel it the
- most listen to this video it's about
- trade tariffs and trucks except this
- won't read like a fun children's book
- outside Texas it's a horror story with
- layoffs of truck drivers happening
- perhaps some have looked at layoffs
- ahead of what's coming uh but I don't
- see that happening in in full scale john
- Esparza is the president of the Texas
- Trucking Association there's 163,000
- trucking companies in the state he says
- Texas is safe for now is the longer the
- tariffs last the more difficult that's
- going to be on freight companies states
- like California have seen huge drops in
- freight being moved recently for now
- that's the opposite in Texas as vendors
- try to get ahead of tariffs jim Grundy
- owns a Fort Worth company with 150
- trucks they've increased the amount of
- goods over the last 60 days out of fear
- of any delays of potential products
- china and the US are still at odds but
- Jim says it's too premature to panic
- 14:02
- neither economy wants to go through this
- and the people are the ones that are
- going to wind up paying for it one way
- or the other whether it means loss of
- jobs or increased good prices they say
- Texas has survived recessions and co
- this will be another speed bump i think
- our industry is very well suited to
- adjust over time but if these trades and
- tariff talks are on a collision course
- there may be no way to swerve around
- Just a Speedbump for Texas?
- them mitch according to that video over
- I don't know how this is possible but
- not employees over
- 160,000 trucking companies in Texas
- alone texas has a huge economy huge GDP
- right do you agree with that video when
- it says that a recession or any problems
- in trucking is just going to be a speed
- bump for Texas unlike for example
- California which is going to be a total
- implosion would you agree with that
- Mitch
- i think whoever put that video together
- 15:02
- needs a lesson in economics and I'm
- being very
- kind houston evictions among the highest
- in the nation so they're dead on their
- argument coming out of the
- shoot then in other words that's no
- speed bump that's
- reality texas is among the highest real
- estate tax in the nation that's not a
- speed bump that's a
- reality in places like Ardal Texas the
- average house is
- $343,000 in fraudulent outstanding
- school district bond debt on it that's
- no speed bump that can't get paid off
- the average home is
- $450,000 okay godly taxes the
- outstanding fraudulent school district
- bond debt $120,000
- the average value of a home in Galilee
- Texas 160,000 that's not a speed bump
- that's reality part of the problem here
- is that these people that make these
- 16:00
- videos are ignorant beyond belief
- they're talking about something i mean
- their knowledge literally could fill a
- thimble they do not know what they're
- talking about they're misleading the
- public and frankly they should lose
- their license to
- broadcast this is all wrong and these
- problems are going to get worse i mean
- even if you look at the amount of multif
- family that's being delivered into the
- cycle now where there's not enough
- people to fill up those units how can
- you possibly say that's a speed bump
- those buildings are going back to the
- banks as I said before these things are
- all interconnected and it's all
- connected by virtue of the debt at the
- federal level and the local level until
- those debts are addressed and there are
- methods to address them but until they
- are addressed this system and the
- logistics associated with it are going
- to get worse more people are going to
- get laid off and if they don't deal with
- the debt the problem is the system will
- implode that's a reality well
- unfortunately they're not talking about
- 17:01
- the debt and the only thing that they've
- addressed is speaking English listen to
- English Speaking Only Requirement
- this then the third executive order
- which actually speaks to the heart of
- your question earlier about the Uber
- drivers um will be a u order directing
- the Department of Transportation to
- include English literacy tests for our
- truckers this is a big problem in the
- trucking community that unless you're in
- that community you might not know but
- there's a lot of communication problems
- between truckers on the road um with
- federal officials and local officials as
- well which obviously is a public safety
- risk so we're going to ensure that our
- truckers who are the backbone of our
- economy are all able to speak English
- that's a very common sense policy in the
- United States of America so the
- president will be signing that later
- this afternoon mitch will the
- requirement for truckers to speak
- English will that slow down layoffs at
- all
- no no it's got nothing to do with the
- layoffs it has to do with a family in
- Texas getting killed by a foreign
- trucker working for an American company
- so but the layoffs or the layoffs are
- 18:04
- going to occur by virtue of the debt by
- virtue of the tariffs by virtue of the
- debt at the trucking company level as
- well they've got problems up and down
- the the chain but that's really what it
- has to do with is that a family got
- killed by a foreign trucker
- yeah i mean people get this so mixed up
- so I'm glad that you broke that down we
- won't go into it any more than that we
- want to be a little bit hyper sensitive
- um now I want to listen to two Tik Tok
- videos from truckers who they're losing
- Tik Tok Broke Truckers
- crazy amounts of money they can't even
- find places to pick up loads let's
- listen to these videos and then we'll
- end this video out another worst week
- for the trucking industry i'm actually
- sitting in a Seattle Washington right
- now without a load i don't have no load
- right now i dropped my load 8:00 in the
- morning and it's already 1:00 that I'm
- sitting here waiting for the load a lot
- of people been asking me does it going
- to get fixed is it going to get better i
- 19:01
- have no clue what is going to happen
- because day by day is getting worse and
- worse i have no clue i haven't seen
- trucking industry like this in a past 10
- years this is the worst year for the
- trucking industry worse year and then I
- came to the truck stop i reserve a
- shower there were 23 people in front of
- me in the line 23 people it's been 4
- hours i'm waiting for the shower and
- they
- still three people ahead of me still so
- you can imagine that how many people are
- sitting at this truck stop without a
- load all the truck drivers we have
- nothing else to do besides taking shower
- all day
- yesterday I had a load going to
- Cleveland Ohio going to San Antonio
- Texas i got halfway here and they
- cancelled so there I set this is two
- days without a
- load i understand not hauling cheap
- freight but don't make a driver set for
- 20:00
- two damn days without nothing and no pay
- or nothing
- so I'm about ready to say rent me a car
- and load m and just go home they I'm not
- here not to make no money you think I'm
- out here on this road cuz I don't want
- to be around my family get it together
- people i can go home and make no money
- mitch last question here how do we fix
- this massive massive problem
- How do We Fix This Problem?
- there very well may be companies that
- get absorbed into other companies
- because those logistic truck companies
- that have routes the routes are worth
- money to other companies so there may be
- something sailable could it be that
- there's too many trucks on the road
- today given the lack of ability for
- 21:00
- those trucks to go loaded both ways the
- answer may very well be yes but is that
- a
- blip as in we've got to deal with what
- we've got for another four or five
- months and see where the market is or is
- that something that's becoming more of a
- permanent fixture so just so everybody
- understands this comes under the heading
- of logistics truck drivers do not make
- money if the trucks are loaded only one
- way think of it this way truck starts at
- A goes to B it's loaded it's making
- money if it has to go back from B to A
- empty it now has the cost of fuel it's
- losing money so depending on how the
- logistics are running at that company
- and who's handling it it's a huge
- problem nobody in their right mind wants
- those trucks moving empty it's
- nonproductive so you have to understand
- that maybe there's simply even though
- they say 'Well we've got all these
- trucks parked over here.' That's the job
- 22:01
- of the trucking companies is to figure
- out how best to keep the flow of the
- goods moving and it could be that many
- of those companies won't exist and or
- shouldn't exist but they control the
- routes and they have those customers
- they may be have the ability to partner
- up with other companies so that the
- whole system their logistics system
- doesn't fall
- apart again big
- problem so people are starting to
- realize what's going on now right the
- mainstream media can't hide it as well
- the talking heads can't hide it as well
- mitch the economy is imploding one
- minute and then the next minute it
- appears that everything's fine and then
- we have gust of air blows it back down
- What is a Good Retirement Investment?
- right and then everything appears to be
- fine can you just end because I know I
- said there's just one last question but
- it just this just came to me you know
- the people that are watching this right
- maybe they're worried about the economy
- because they should be maybe they're uh
- aware of the fraud because they should
- be because they've been frauded just
- 23:00
- defrauded like I have for
- decades for the people that are
- concerned about their retirement 401ks
- and things like that can you give us and
- and this is not personalized financial
- advice but what do you think that most
- people should be investing in right now
- to retire real quick what I've been
- investing in I already liquidated my
- 401k that was me personally u I'm
- investing in metals you know for me
- looking at all the inflation looking at
- the crypto all this devaluation of the
- dollar it seems like the road to
- retirement is through metal i'm not a
- gold salesman i'm not a silver silver
- salesman i've been accused of that for
- some reason mitch where should people be
- investing their money right now to be
- able to retire in the future
- if somebody has
- 401ks retirement systems
- um up in Canada they have what's called
- the
- RRSP the point is that if you do not
- 24:01
- know what's in those investments inside
- of your 401k or your retirement pension
- plan best you learn real fast because
- you don't want to be exposed to a
- problem of the principal devaluation
- you also don't want to be exposed to a
- problem where those who are operating
- those funds are making more in fees than
- you are in profit because that is a
- self-fulfilling prophecy where you lose
- they
- win with that said if you've got that
- type of
- money the reality is that precious
- metals i.e gold gold is money right it's
- it's what you have in your pocket the
- dollars are fiat currency it's not money
- it's an
- IOU so having precious metals as part of
- what it is that you're doing is
- perfectly
- fine having a real estate investment if
- 25:03
- you've got something and you're not
- debted up that's fine if you have a
- business that is not debted up and is
- cash flowing that's fine any one of
- those or in combination is good the
- problem is if you're depending on your
- pension as in it's a pension plan or a
- 401k without knowing what's in them and
- you're depending on other people to tell
- you you're making a huge huge
- mistake this system has got a lot of
- problems
- yeah it does and to the viewers one more
- time part of the problems is the tax
