The material in this video was part of the second group and featured Tucker Carlson. I did not complete my normal routine of archiving the material, and when I tried to do this today, the material had been deleted from YouTube and I was unable to follow my normal routine. At my age ... I recently turned 85 ... my memory needs assistance which is why I archive a lot of material that I see so that I can see it again and again, and be reminded of issues of interest and issues of importance. Mostly, I have been archiving material that I consider to be positive in nature, but recently I have started to archive material that I find dangerous for the future of society and the world, and it was in this connection that I planned to archive this video featuring Tucker Carlson. In the time that I have been deliberate in searching out Internet material that I disagree with I am faced with two big problems: One of these is that some of this material gets taken down by Youtube Another is that the YouTube algorithms think I am looking at the material and am 'liking' it, when in fact it is the absolute opposite. Unfortunately, the algorithm does not know this and delivers more and more material that I do not like! This has to be a huge factor in the creation of massive division in our national and international society, one that arguably is 'profitable' for the Internat ecosystem (including Google/YoutTube) but an existential risk and huge problem in modern society. While it can be valuable to have easy access to a lot of information, the results ... that is the impact on society ... seems to be far more negative than it could be and should be! As a person of advanced age, but still of reasonably sound mind ... I am appalled at how many young people know very little of meaningful value relative to what people of my generation knew at their age. This degradation of knowledge and accomplishment seems to have been accelerating over the past two decades. There seems to be a strong correlation between this degradation of young people's interest and accomplishment with the increase in power and prevalence of mobile smart telephones and related electronic entertainment. Worse ... the problem seems to be getting bigger and accelerating but also completely ignored by most everyone, and especially those that are generating profit from this failure! In my head ... I carry the image of a car rapidly acelerating and heading towards the edge of a cliff ... and then going over the cliff. This has to change ... but in order for the business world to change, there has to be a massive change in how corporate performance is measured and how corporate value is computed by owners, investors and high level decision making corporate executives!
