Peter Burgess COMMENTARY
This is an 'interesting' video! I am an outside observer who is 'interested' in the subject of military power, but maybe not an 'expert'.

My core interst is 'technology'! Technology has driven change in 'everything' during the course of my adult lifetime!

The challenge is to guide all of this change into positive progress for everyone.

My core expertise is 'management' ... getting the most impact that you want, with the least use of resources!

With this as the key management metric, it is clear that during the last many decades, those with power and influence have done a rather poor job. It is certainly time for change and the eployment of a better management framework.

This video about military capabilities is important ... but it is deeply bothersome that diplomatic capabilities are essentially totallyt absent!

I recognise this problem. Most do not ... which is a perfect 'set-up' for a future catastrophe!

SOME MORE COMMENTARY

The 'economics' of war are changing. For the past several decades the big economies ... huge economies ... have been able to afford very costly military equipment and systems. The Ukraine confrontation now seems to be showing that brains are now very important as well. But the brain power of today is different from the brain-power of WWII or even just a decade ago. A lot of destructive power can now be deployed on or in vehicles ... aerial vehicles that cost just hundreds of dollars rather than millions or hundreds of millions of dollars!

The gap between the military 'value' of the US military and every other military is now declining quite rapidly. My hope is that the 'brains' in the US military understand this issue and are quietly taking steps to get their brains up to speed better and faster than everyone else.

If American politics is any indicator of American 'brain', this could be a problem. Electing Kamala Harris would be a step in a good direction, but the substantial support there exists for Donald Trump in the US electorate whould be a huge concern for the world. Fo me, Donald Trump has been bad news going back three or more decades
