important thing to ask is why would America want to go back to the higher crime that we experienced under Donald Trump okay but they also may she tried to talk over him he wasn't having it she tried to push back on her on on her talking point and he just like rolled right through this is exactly why Pete Buddha Jed is one of the best communicators in Democratic politics we are so lucky to have him and it's something that I hope more Democrats talk about is that crime is down right now and just because people just because the media is reporting on certain instances of immigrants causing crime 2:01 does not mean that three or four stories equates to more crime overall that crime is down under Biden and that's something that we need to talk about more watch how he expertly takes down Trump when they try going after kamla Harris and her viability as a candidate watch how he flips the script on him and makes it about Trump it's it's incredible watch this um there will be wishes that she had been vetted the idea that somebody hasn't been tested or vetted when they have been Vice President of the United States for nearly 4 years just doesn't make any sense she is in obviously one of the most visible leadership roles in the country and she's demonstrated uh both her Effectiveness in that job and a vision for the country that Americans agree with and that's the real reason I think she's going to win is that most Americans already agree with her on the issues that they care about the most that affect them the most whether we're talking about uh choice and her stance on defending a woman's right to to 3:00 choose versus Donald Trump who eliminated a right to choose in this country well he sent it back to the States be fair let's be very clear he is proud of the fact that all right I'm just going to pause that there because do you notice how they're not even talking anymore about how uh KL Harris is inviable he's already turned it turned the talking point into Donald Trump and her having to defend Donald Trump's record this is why he's one of the best communicators in Democratic politics he just did that seamlessly and she didn't even realize it and so this part is amazing watch this because he uh what he ends on is it's just great when he when I when I first saw this I literally laughed out loud he demolished the national right to choose in this country period but there are states that are figuring this out I mean there are some that are I mean it's nearly impossible uh a six we ban or less but there are others there are states in this country that allow no restrictions up until the due date of a there was a national right to choose in this country law the land for 50 years which the vast 4:01 majority of Americans believe was the right thing to do but Donald Trump made a promise when he was a candidate one of the few promises he actually kept by the way you know he didn't keep his promise of 6% economic growth he didn't keep his promise to draic to deal with well but even before the pandemic even before the pandemic America went into a manufacturing recession which really hurt places like where I come from in the industrial Midwest but anyway my point is my point is he broke his promise for that kind of economic growth uh he broke uh his promise to pass an infrastructure bill right he said he would do that he failed to do it the Biden Harris Administration got it done uh he even broke his promise to that January 6th mob when he said I will be at your side when you march down to the capital but he actually did keep two promises he kept his promise to destroy the right to choose in this country and he kept his promise on tax cuts for the rich and if you want to know what a second Trump term would be like I would start by looking at those rare promises that he actually managed to keep he did 5:01 say that he wanted to get rid of roie Wade but again send it to the states where they are states toate women's access to abortion and also as you know the Republican Party continues to be interested in a National Abortion he disavowed completely yeah he's disavowed a lot of things I don't believe [Laughter] him watch this he lies all the time you think that that's so good this is exactly how we should be talking about Donald Trump in abortion like he only kept a few promises and other promises he kept they were awful for the country so if you want more if you want to if you want another Trump presidency that's what you're looking to get also I love that he's on Fox News and he says I don't trust him because he lies all the time and she has nothing I mean she's just like stunned she has to keep going to the next question it's it's just incredible all right let's keep going in this section of the interview she tries to bring up President Biden's age and and 6:01 again Pete puts him back on them watch side for the country well voters have said that they are much less worried about the mental acuity and the physical strength of President Trump they see comp bid or compared to Harris I'm pretty sure voters are worried about the age and Acuity of President Trump compared to K Harris who represents uh being a generation younger and how could anybody not watch the the the stuff he's saying the rambling on the trail and not be just a little bit concerned well that is certainly one of her talking points and one viers now as her campaign too something most Americans believe well but most Americans didn't have a worry about him the way that they did about President Biden Amer worried about him in lots of ways and he's not running against President Biden anymore you can tell he desperately wants to be but he's not we do have new polls okay so let's talk about this cuz you said that see was like all right moving on I'm not winning that one either moving on and so then she tries to bring up she tries to pin she tries to pin the border on comma Harris when there was a bill in the Senate ready to pass Donald Trump said 7:00 vote on it because it would hurt him politically and help Biden and she just brought it up watch how Pete handles it why they didn't move forward they moved forward because Donald Trump swooped in he said I don't want Joe Biden to get them that it was a flawed piece of legislation that had too many loopholes and other things they couldn't support this is how Washington Post what happened this is how they describ the Border situation illegal border crossing soared in the months after Biden took office and immediately rolled is part of this Administration and had a leading role according to mainstream media on handling the Border let's get real border crossings are down in the wake of President bid's executive actions that he took after Congress failed to he could have taken action he wanted Cong to resolve that because that 8:01 would have been more durable but when Trump came also that is what Trump wanted just for the record Trump trump in 2017 or 2018 tweeted that this is something that Congress can do an executive order doesn't work so man talked Republicans out of their own bipartisan project because he didn't want the issue to get better remember the worse things are at the border the better things get for Donald Trump so he has a vested interest in it remaining chaotic down there I think this also helps to explain he didn't exactly conclusively solve it when it was his turn but I saw something else really important happening at the Republican National Convention on the border and and the talk about immigration which we all recognize as a problem which is they tried to paint this narrative that if you live somewhere far from the border in Immigration hasn't affected you personally you need to think that immigration is a driver of crime that that was the real message immigration leads to Crime well there are blue State Governors and Mayors who say there every state is a border state now that's Democrats yeah and now they're saying 9:00 but what the false message of the RNC was that this is leading to an increase in crime and I think it's really important that we talk about been very you want is someone who can communicate your best vision for the country you want a basically someone who is a team player that is out there every day trying to best argue why your candidate should win now of course Pete is going to do that either way it's a different thing when they're the vice presidential candidate and I think he'd be a great pick and this is one of the reasons why also he speaks fluent Spanish that'd be great for Florida I don't know what's wrong with you young people you think you just fell out of a coconut tree
