performance he was there for Butler too wasn't he he was there I saw him there 0:30 but he's been to many shows how many 0:31 shows have you been to he is playing the 0:33 role of Donald Trump a Wann toe 0:37 president and a disgraced former 0:40 president but deep inside there is 0:43 Extreme sadness 0:46 loneliness and misery and so let's take 0:49 a look at the the highlights from this 0:51 rally if you can call them that and I I 0:54 want to try and explain how the things 0:57 that he has said the stuff that now has 0:59 just become common parlance with Donald 1:02 Trump is still the language of the authoritarian and who look at all of the fake news they got a they got a lot of fake news back there so whilst the fake news has become uh a bit of a joke uh Donald Trump obviously has been saying it for years now it's actually very very serious and for me as a journalist it's the thing that frustrates me the most he needs them there he loves the media he loves to be in the media he hates if a day would go by where he is not 1:36 somewhere on the front pages so the 1:38 media feeds his habit his narcissistic 1:42 desire to be reported on and recognized 1:46 however to refer to the media as either 1:48 fake or as the enemy of the people that 1:51 is the language of dictatorship that is 1:54 the language of the despot authoritarianism this is what dictators in his history have done they have 2:00 denigrated the Free Press in such a way that they encourage people not to believe a word of it and so we have this dichotomy with Donald Trump where he needs them there he wants to be reported on but he also wants to devalue them in their very presence it's extremely weird but more importantly it's very dangerous it's like when I stopped the riots in Washington they were going they were taking down statues they were having a lot of fun they didn't know what they were doing having a lot of fun and I pulled out an old law from 1907 because we don't pass laws like that that are tough and it said if you touch a monument if you touch it even touch it against the will of authority if you take it down but if you even touch it you go to jail for 10 years I I knew there was a problem when they started ripping down a statue of Abraham Lincoln I said they're going to take down the statue of Lincoln I don't think that's I we're not going to let that happen Donald Trump turned on American 3:01 citizens exercising their free right to protest when he effectively cleared Washington DC of protesters buzzed them with a military helicopter gassed them and brought out the military effectively onto the onto the streets to do so he is claiming that people were just you know having a bit of fun and didn't know what 3:24 they were doing but the protest was real 3:27 and people are entitled to protest and 3:30 again it's important that we recognize 3:32 that Donald Trump's desire to shut down 3:35 protest and it was peaceful protest 3:38 until Donald Trump and his henchmen 3:40 showed up his desire to shut it down is 3:44 authoritarianism again it is 3:47 disrespecting the rights the human rights and the civil rights of American citizens he is against American citizens in his view as the as the despot Maga Republicans who support him should be 4:01 supported and celebrated and they can do what they want they can change the American flag to have Donald Trump's face on it that in itself You could argue is desecrating the the the flag of the United States but he also is taking advantage of people people's need to be 4:21 heard and the whole point of protest in 4:24 that environment is to be heard is to 4:27 ask for change is to is to be recognized 4:29 ized as Citizens with a voice when you 4:32 feel that your vote has failed and then 4:34 he talks about how they wanted to pull 4:37 down the statue of Abraham Lincoln which 4:39 is not true the rhetoric at the time was 4:42 that this particular statue of Abraham 4:44 Lincoln had a young African-American 4:47 slave kneeling in front of him and that was why there was call for that statue to be replaced it was a statue for the emancipation and yet it seemed 5:01 inappropriate in the modern day again Donald Trump is completely light on detail he will always rewrite the narrative to suit him and to give the impression that protesters Democrats and anybody that is not sucking up to him is the Enemy of the State and that he will 5:21 go after them and jail them for a decade 5:24 said these people are coming in from 5:26 prisons and jails nobody listen to me 5:29 they're murderers they're drug dealers 5:32 they come from Africa they come from the 5:35 Middle East countries that are not 5:38 friends of ours and they're coming by 5:40 the millions by the millions and these 5:43 fools Kamala who's a Marxist these fools 5:48 are letting them come into our country destroy our country hate speech towards immigrants Asylum Seekers people entering the country seeking a better life has had an extreme negative effect 6:02 on American society Donald Trump is claiming that you know the country is in Ruins because of these people coming across the border but America was built by immigrants and slaves and for him now to refer to these people as drug dealers and rapists and and you know mentally ill they're coming out of asylums and 6:25 all this stuff none of that is true and 6:27 and and it's important to remember and I 6:29 speak as an immigrant myself we come to 6:33 America to contribute we come to America 6:35 to seek a better life for ourselves and 6:37 our families we come to America to be 6:41 part of this great nation and to achieve 6:45 the American dream immigrants don't come to the United States with a plan to commit crime they come to the US to work and there is enough work for them and for all of Donald Trump's supporters as well 7:01 and invariably Donald Trump's supporters have never come into contact with immigrants or Asylum Seekers that they don't have any connection with them they only hear what Donald Trump wants them to hear and what they are told on repeat 7:17 that all immigrants entering the US are 7:22 coming to rape and steal and deal drugs 7:26 and attack your families and you know 7:30 the the negative effect on that is that 7:32 the rise of hate crime and you know we 7:35 saw that after covid or during covid 7:38 with the rise of Asian hate crime 7:41 because Donald Trump blamed the Chinese 7:44 and Chinese government and so people took their anger out on all Asians he is very dangerous and this language is no different to how Hitler referred to the Jews 8:00 in the late 1930s and wa till you see what's going to happen you know they're just getting acced you know what that means acced they're getting used to a society that really goes too far acclimated is not a word that is that is a word that Donald 8:17 Trump has invented in this moment and 8:19 then he looks around and asks people you 8:21 know what acced means and of course 8:24 nobody knows what it means because it's 8:26 not a word maybe he's thinking of a 8:28 climati or acclimated but acced is not a 8:33 word and this is Donald Trump he is 8:36 illiterate he is uneducated he is dumb 8:40 and yet he in the moment knows this he 8:43 knows that he's stupid so he has to act 8:47 this role of being smart by saying do 8:50 you know what accl it means do you know what it means let me tell you what it means the only thing they go after is guys like Trump because he protests an election that's the only thing think they're good at going after they don't 9:01 go after criminals they don't go after people that kill people they don't go after drug dealers and then he shifts The Narrative again all over the place saying you know why don't they go after proper criminals why would they come 9:16 after me he doesn't see himself as a 9:20 criminal like a drug dealer he you know 9:23 despite the fact that he himself is 9:26 probably one of the most dangerous 9:28 criminals the United States has ever 9:30 harbored but I said do you have a drug 9:32 problem 1.4 billion people no no no we 9:35 have no drug problem why don't you have 9:38 a drug problem because we have the death 9:41 penalty he said for drug deals if they sell drugs they die he said so those people that sld drugs they said you know let's go to another country this is a little bit of but they do in many other countries in countries where you have that you don't have a drug problem and we are becoming a drug 10:01 infested Nation whether you like it or not we're becoming a drug infested Nation Donald Trump is now taking his policy advice from president Xi Jinping of China who has arguably the worst human rights record on the planet and in order to maintain order in China of 1.4 billion people As Trump gets excited 10:25 about these 10:27 rules the the the shutdown of Human 10:31 Rights the inability for people 10:34 to be re 10:37 rehabilitated or to be punished fairly 10:39 or to get a fair hearing or even a 10:42 trial it's unheard of and yet Donald Trump is excited to take advice and say okay the death penalty notice how he goes into a like a gutural voice when he say the death penalty he talks about it in a very passionate 11:00 almost sadistic fashion and and thinks that celebrating the killing of people for their crimes is how he's going to get elected this is the language of authoritarianism this is not normal the death penalty is something that you can have an opinion on of your own but to use it in 11:24 electioneering to celebrate it as a 11:27 deterrent for people dealing drugs when 11:31 the fenal crisis that he's talking about 11:34 was caused by pharmaceutical companies 11:37 who have admitted liability in legal 11:39 cases and you know when I was running 11:41 that I spoke to the leader of the 11:43 Taliban he they run the whole deal and I 11:46 said Abdul don't even think don't do it 11:48 Abdul don't do it because they were shooting they were killing our people and they were really killing them previous to me and Obama they were killing him in the Obama Administration and with Biden 12:00 Biden but uh how did he do in the debate here's another example of Donald Trump's wandering mind talking about the Taliban of course when the US withdrew from Afghanistan the Taliban resumed control of the of the region Donald Trump talks about Abdul like their friends he's 12:22 talking about Abdul gani baradar who 12:25 held senior positions in the Taliban uh 12:28 during their first rule between 96 and 12:31 2001 and then after the Taliban 12:34 government fell to the us-led invasion 12:36 in 2001 he was eventually captured and 12:40 then released by Donald Trump uh in 2018 12:45 and appointed Deputy leader of the 12:48 Taliban and head of their political 12:49 office in Qatar and following the Taliban victory in August he returned to Afghanistan and now has his government post this is somebody that Donald Trump claims that 13:01 he was able to negotiate with don't do it Abdul don't do it Abdul and yet Abdul was able to do whatever he wanted Donald Trump again doing one of the worst hostage deals in history he has no skills in the theater of war or in international relations and diplomacy and he'll just rewrite the narrative by 13:24 saying Abdul 13:26 Abdul but now as we speak 13:29 his friend Abdul has control of 13:33 Afghanistan and the Taliban are in 13:37 charge of the region rendering the 13:40 entire conflict in Afghanistan and the 13:43 tens of billions of dollars spent to bring some kind of Western democracy to Afghanistan clearly a failure Joe Biden killed those young people because he was incompetent and then they tell me that I 14:01 use their graves for Public Relation services and I didn't it is not normal for a former president and presidential candidate to blame the current president for the deaths of service members in the line of duty that is not normal that is the 14:21 language of the authoritarian we're 14:23 saving our country our country needs 14:25 saving we're a failing nation in case 14:27 you have any question we're sadly 14:29 failing nation and we're going to make 14:31 America great again it's very simple so 14:33 we're a failing Nation we're going to 14:35 make America great and I think we have a 14:37 chance to make America greater than ever 14:40 before and remember this if we don't do 14:42 it this time you never got to have 14:44 another crack at it the Maga rhetoric 14:47 has never really made much sense to me the idea of making America great again uh that might have worked for him in 2016 but the fact that he was President for 4 years and by his standard it wasn't great for those four years 15:01 suggests that he's not able to make it great again because he couldn't make it great the first time the reality is America is not a failing Nation as Donald Trump describes again this is the language of the dictator claim that everything is terrible claim that 15:17 everything needs fixing and then say I 15:19 am the solution put your trust in me 15:22 despite not having the tools the 15:26 intellect the experience and the ability 15:29 to make any positive change Donald Trump 15:33 is trying to stay out of prison he is 15:35 now saying anything in order to win over 15:40 votes and and that's why the stakes are 15:42 so high for him when he says this is 15:44 your last chance he's saying this is my last chance my last chance before I'm incarcerated he knows that it's coming and he knows that he's running out of options from his perspective he has to win the 16:00 presidency to keep himself from prison we want to go to paper ballots we want to go to same day voting we want to go to citizenship papers and we want to go 16:12 to voter ID it's very simple we want to 16:16 get rid of mailin 16:18 voting what Donald Trump is describing 16:20 here is voter suppression and it is 16:23 something that is widely covered but in 16:27 my opinion not enough espe especially 16:29 when it comes to this election because 16:32 being encouraged to vote everybody 16:34 should be encouraged to vote everyone 16:35 should have every opportunity to vote 16:38 voting day should really be a national 16:40 holiday because as you know Republicans have their methods for closing polling stations preventing people who are waiting in line from getting in and getting their chance to vote removing polling places from districts so that they have to travel a long way and so they just don't bother that is voter suppression and including doing away with mailin 17:01 voting well mailin voting is normal 17:04 proxy voting is normal all over the 17:07 world and yet because for Donald Trump 17:10 he knows that Democrats often use the 17:13 mailin voting service by doing away with 17:16 it it means that fewer people will vote 17:19 Democrat in in his mind this again is 17:23 the language of the authoritarian 17:25 removing opportunities for you to 17:28 express your free right to a vote it he 17:32 he talks about it like it's something 17:34 positive but for anybody that cares 17:36 about democracy and understands the 17:38 importance of the vote this is very very dangerous rhetoric if you look at Kamala and you look at what she's done to every place she's touched has turned to every single place she's touched again Donald Trump with no evidence saying that places that kamla Harris has 18:02 touched has turned to his explicit 18:06 use of profanity again is not normal he 18:12 he 18:13 transcends the protocols of American 18:17 politics in fact of international 18:19 politics to to not use 18:22 profanity he he does that on purpose 18:25 it's all a performance this is just part 18:27 of the show she re-entered the 18:30 disastrous Paris climate Accord do you 18:34 know what that was that was the worst 18:36 deal other than it sounds so nice the 18:38 Paris climate it basically 18:41 said that this country is screwed it said this country is going to pay billions and billions of dollars other countries are going to pay nothing Donald Trump clearly didn't read the Paris climate Accord in the same way that he didn't read the Iran nuclear deal or didn't read the US Constitution 19:00 whilst in office the Paris climate 19:02 Accord was not a deal it was an 19:05 agreement between All Nations to reduce 19:09 carbon emissions to a certain level to 19:12 prevent the climate 19:14 catastrophe this whole subject is 19:18 apocalyptic and yet Donald Trump does 19:20 not want to enter into any agreements 19:24 with other nations the only people he 19:26 wants to do business with are the the 19:28 foes of America as a European I feel 19:31 that the US doesn't really talk about 19:33 climate change very often in politics 19:35 they refer to clean air and clean water 19:39 that is a small part of climate change but it really isn't a representation of the climate crisis to me it's a shame that politicians aren't really able to address a crisis that is far more serious than immigration that is far more serious than the economy because it will affect both of those if we do not 20:00 turn our attention to it Donald Trump has no idea about global temperatures he's answer is drill baby drill and he just wants to dig and take these 20:13 precious resources from the earth and 20:15 spew them into the atmosphere but you 20:18 know what getting along with Russia is a 20:20 good thing not a bad thing remember that 20:21 getting along with these people is a 20:23 good thing not a bad thing it's a smart 20:25 thing to do I got along with Kim Jong-un 20:28 of North career remember I walked over 20:30 the first person to ever walk over from this country and I we also looked at his nuclear capability it's very substantial no getting along is a good thing it's not a bad thing the fake news would say he likes Putin or Putin likes him let me tell you they said president she likes Trump that's a good thing not a bad thing president she likes Trump because president she can manipulate Donald Trump Vladimir Putin plays Trump because because he can manipulate Donald Trump 21:01 and Kim Jong does the same Donald Trump wasn't able to recall the demilitarized zone where he went as the first US president to to cross over to the line between North and South Korea that wasn't something to be celebrated that is not seen internationally as a great moment there was no peace that came from that there were no diplomatic negot iations done Donald Trump wanted it as a photo op because he looks up to Kim Jong and the way he runs his dictatorship and in North Korea if you commit a crime you don't just go to prison your entire family goes to prison if you want to talk about human rights North Korea makes China look like Child's Play Donald Trump never mentions this he he never gets into the detail about how people live in North Korea and 22:02 can't leave that's what he wants this isolationist attitude this militarized Society with Donald Trump pressing the death penalty button at will starting on day one I will seal the border and stop the migrant Invasion into our country we will carry out the largest deportation operation inica American history we have no choice we will halt The Invasion and Deport the illegals referring to immigrants and Asylum Seekers as illegals is offensive he's talking about Mass deportations he is using this violent rhetoric against Asylum Seekers for political purposes he is giving the impression that these people are the enemy and keeps referring to The Invasion this is the language of 23:01 authoritarianism it is not normal to talk about other human beings entering the United States as Donald Trump's ancestors did to seek a better life and again it causes anger and dissatisfaction for an increasing percentage of the population who think that they are losing out because immigrants are coming in which is not true there is room for everybody I will settle the war in Ukraine and I will end the chaos in the Middle East and I will restore peace through strength very quickly we will end the weaponization of government against the American people Trump claiming that he will end the war in the Middle East and end the war in Ukraine of course we know how Donald Trump will do those things we know who he sides with we know he will Annex Ukraine and and give a portion to Vladimir Putin and claim that that is something some kind of a victory we know 24:01 that he sides with Benjamin Netanyahu and won't rest until every Arab has died in the Gaza conflict that's who Donald Trump is and then he claims that he will end the weaponization of the of the government against US citizens well here is talking about himself by shutting down justice department investigations when I return to the White House I will also stop the indoctrination of your children and protect your parents rights and referring to the indoctrination of children again is the language of the authoritarian because Donald Trump through project 2025 and the Heritage Foundation has a plan to indoctrinate children into their version of America this far-right Christian nationalism that again does not bear any resemblance to reality and so the hypocrisy of 25:01 claiming that children are being indoctrinated now when there is no religious instruction in public schools that is their plan we will make America wealthy again we will make America strong again by repeating these things over and over people who watch him and follow him eventually think yeah well that that's what has to happen it is a terrifying thought because if you read your history and if you learn about the molinis and the stalins and the Hitlers this is exactly what they did this is exactly how they weaponized language this is exactly how they sought to control the population and brainwash them this is who
