Kamala Harris delivers a speech in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at her first campaign rally.
The battleground state hosted the Republican National Convention last week and has taken on new resonance as Ms Harris looks all but certain to take up the mantle.
With this in mind, Wisconsin Republican leaders have branded her an 'extreme liberal' who is out of touch with most voters in the state.

- greatest honors of my life to serve as

- lobbyists he would do their bidding for

- hours of grassroot

- fundraising in presidential campaign

- and because we are a people powerered

- is also about two different Visions for

- one where we are focused on the future

- past we believe in a future where every

- person has the opportunity not just to

- get by but to get

- ahead a future where no child has to

- freedom to join a union

- where every person has Affordable Health

- Care affordable child

- so all of this is to say building up the

- middle class will be a defining goal of

- presidency because here's the thing we

- all here Wisconsin know when our middle

- class is strong America is strong
- 11:59
- but Donald Trump wants to take our

- country
- 12:02
- backward he and his extreme project 2025

- agenda will weaken the middle class like

- we know we got to take this serious
- 12:14
- thing can you believe they put that

- hands we who believe in the sacred

- freedom to vote we'll make sure every

- American has the ability to cast their
- 14:29
- ballot and have it
- 14:34
- counted we who believe that every person
- 14:37
- in our nation should who should have the
- 14:40
- freedom to live safe from the terror of
- 14:42
- gun
- 14:46
- violence will finally pass red flag laws
- 14:50
- Universal background checks and an
- 14:52
- assault weapons ban
- 15:01
- and we who believe in reproductive
- 15:09
- Freedom will stop Donald Trump's extreme
- 15:13
- abortion bans
- 15:15
- because we trust women to make decisions
- 15:19
- about their own
- 15:20
- body and not have their government tell
- 15:24
- them what to do
- 15:35
- and when Congress passes a law to
- 15:37
- restore reproductive freedoms as
- 15:40
- president of the United States I will
- 15:42
- sign it into
- 15:51
- law so Wisconsin ultimately in this
- 15:54
- election we each face a
- 15:56
- question what kind of country do we want
- 15:59
- want to live

- in a
- 16:09
- country and to your
- 16:12
- point do we want to live in a country of

- Freedom compassion and rule of
- 16:21
- law or a country of chaos fear and

- hate and here's the beauty of this

- moment we each have the power to answer

- that question the power is with the
- 16:37
- people we each have the power to answer

- that question and in the next 105 days
- then we have work to
- do we have doors to knock on we have
- phone calls to make we have voters to
- register and we have an election to win

- Freedom do we believe in
- Opportunity do we believe in the promise

- America and are we ready to fight for it
