  • blowing that Francis Scott Key bridge
  • off of the deck of the motor vessel Del
  • last month and we're going to show you
  • here today some of this video and we're
  • going to analyze it they had a lot of
  • great camera set up all around the dolly
  • ship so we'll look at all the different
  • views plus some in slow motion if you
  • recall back on May 13th we showed you
  • several different videos shot from all
  • around the MV DOL as the keybridge truck
  • was blown off of the top of the deck

  • with the detonations but now we're going

  • to show you from different sites around

  • on top of the ship we'll also show you

  • everything that the salvers had to go

  • through to get all of these linear

  • shaped charges all wired up and get them

  • all protected and get them all installed

  • and ready to blow this bridge truss

  • right off of the bow of the
  • 0:55
  • Del so on April 5th about a week after
  • 0:58
  • the dolly collided with the Key Bridge

  • resolve Marine brought in controlled
  • 1:03
  • demolition Incorporated we all just know

  • them as CDI and believe it or not
  • 1:06
  • they're actually from Maryland they are
  • 1:08
  • world-renowned experts at bringing down
  • 1:11
  • and demolishing buildings and many of
  • 1:13
  • you have seen CDI work before you just
  • 1:16
  • don't know it if you've seen any of my
  • 1:17
  • videos on the Champlain Towers CDI was
  • 1:20
  • brought into implode down the
  • 1:21
  • still-standing remaining part of the
  • 1:23
  • Champlain Towers condo after the initial
  • 1:26
  • collapse back in 2021 here it is now
  • 1:41
  • so CDI is certainly no strangers to
  • 1:45
  • control Demolition and in fact they are
  • 1:47
  • regarded by many as probably being the
  • 1:50
  • best of the best out there we're here
  • 1:52
  • because you're looking for the best of
  • 1:53
  • the best of the best sir

  • and so on their YouTube channel they

  • posted this video here a couple of days

  • ago so I'm going to walk through this

  • to see this they did a great job on this

  • so since they were directly on the site

  • they were able to bring all of their

  • cameras and drones with them and man did

  • they get us some beautiful drone video

  • nice and smooth and close up and Crystal

  • Clear from angles that we had not seen

  • before look at this this look how those

  • containers were crushed and pinned in

  • there and here's a great view we haven't

  • seen before right directly from the
  • 2:43
  • cherry picker that CDI was working

  • on and then when they were working up on
  • 2:48
  • the bridge truss I mean look at the
  • 2:50
  • incredible Vantage Point View they were
  • 2:52
  • able to get we've never seen this view
  • 2:54
  • like this before looking down on those
  • 2:57
  • crushed containers there this was was
  • 3:00
  • just some unbelievable video I slowed it
  • 3:02
  • down here for you to 1/3 speed so that
  • 3:04
  • we could be able to soak it all in and
  • 3:06
  • look there's the four-lane roadway on
  • 3:07
  • top of the Dolly's bow and then of
  • 3:09
  • course there's the orange cone Still
  • 3:12
  • Standing On Top of the roadway so these
  • 3:15
  • guys were dangerously perched up on
  • 3:17
  • these Bridge trusses and then of course
  • 3:19
  • they whip out the old cutting torch and
  • 3:22
  • man now we're ready to get down to
  • 3:23
  • business now this looks to me like the
  • 3:26
  • uh oxy acetylene torch you get that
  • 3:28
  • green and red hose so that's what I
  • 3:30
  • think it is if if you guys know any
  • 3:31
  • different hey let us know in the

  • comments below but I believe that's what

  • this

  • is so now here they start to attach the
  • 3:38
  • linear shaped charges he's got one right
  • 3:40
  • there by his leg so these are kind of
  • 3:43
  • like long copper looking pipes and they
  • 3:45
  • twist it up with the
  • 3:46

  • water and there they're using multiple
  • 3:54
  • layers of conveyor belt these are those
  • 3:57
  • big black stripes that you saw on the
  • 4:00
  • ship look he's using the sawall to cut
  • 4:02
  • right through it

  • there and then they bring the material
  • 4:05
  • up there and they'll go ahead and attach
  • 4:06
  • it onto the wooden frame that they've
  • 4:08
  • already nailed onto the metal truss and
  • 4:11
  • they'll shoot it with like a Hilty
  • 4:14
  • personally I think these black conveyor
  • 4:16
  • belts were a complete waste because
  • 4:17
  • everything went flying
  • 4:19
  • anyways yeah so here they are now
  • 4:21
  • getting ready to shoot it in and they
  • 4:25
  • just go right in there and Bam now I
  • 4:26
  • don't know if that's pneumatic or if
  • 4:28
  • it's battery powered I couldn't quite
  • 4:29
  • tell the they didn't show the entire
  • 4:31
  • tool
  • 4:33
  • there now this scene right here shows
  • 4:35
  • how they actually initiated the
  • 4:38
  • implosion so it's not like a push button
  • 4:41
  • or a knob or anything that they rotate
  • 4:44
  • it's simply a normally closed loop that
  • 4:46
  • they cut open

  • now check out this incredible view from

  • dolly so this here is right behind where

  • all the crushed containers were and what

  • an incredible camera angle this one was

  • down 5x for us to see the explosion and

  • if you'll note the orange container on

  • top see how they're all tied down with

  • some tension wires there and they didn't

  • even budge I'm not even sure if I saw a

  • wiggle or not out of those containers
  • 5:33
  • there so it's not like there was any
  • 5:35
  • dangerous perching there those things
  • 5:37
  • are still interlocked pretty good plus
  • 5:39
  • the high tension wires they really tied
  • 5:41
  • them down nicely so this view from the
  • 5:44
  • dolly deck was such an incredible shot

  • to see it this clear and this close
  • 5:50
  • up from the port side of the dolly check

  • this

  • out yeah baby did you see that one

  • knocked the camera out of alignment and

  • you could still hear it ringing through

  • the truss afterwards now here's a good

  • slow motion look at

  • it so here I slowed down the video by

  • 10x and look at all of the debris that's
  • 6:13
  • flying and a lot of that looks like also
  • 6:16
  • it's it's part of all of that um
  • 6:18
  • conveyor belt covering that they were

  • putting on

  • there but there it all goes look at this

  • boom seconds later it's all still just
  • 6:26
  • floating up in the air that's why they
  • 6:29
  • didn't want anybody on the front of the
  • 6:31
  • bow of the Del they had the crew members
  • 6:34
  • go um I'm not sure if they specified
  • 6:36
  • where they were but I don't even think
  • 6:37
  • they were on the bridge during the
  • 6:39
  • implosion
  • 6:42
  • here now this portion of the explosion
  • 6:45
  • was shot from the remaining part of that
  • 6:48
  • Francis Scott Key bridge the roadway
  • 6:50
  • that was still upward and standing on
  • 6:52
  • the pillars that cut off section there
  • 6:54
  • which we've seen in the past where the
  • 6:56
  • FBI had that truck that was there with
  • 6:58
  • all of the um
  • 7:00
  • with all of the communications equipment
  • 7:01
  • and
  • 7:18
  • stuff okay now here it is again in slow
  • 7:21
  • motion and I've slowed it down three
  • 7:23
  • times so you can see with real good
  • 7:26
  • Clarity exactly how this bridge Bridge
  • 7:29
  • truss collapsed and fell over after the
  • 7:33
  • detonation charges went off and there it
  • 7:36
  • goes see Head Over Heels right down into
  • 7:39
  • the water and then you can see that part
  • 7:40
  • that's sticking up there right through
  • 7:42
  • the middle of the four-way roadway you
  • 7:44
  • can see how it just kind of ended up
  • 7:46
  • leaned up against the ship and that's
  • 7:48
  • what they came and salvaged out the next
  • 7:50
  • couple of days after
  • 7:53
  • that now this Vantage Point here looks
  • 7:57
  • like it's probably a drone that CDI head

  • floating high up above the
  • 8:02
  • Del and I like this angle a little bit
  • 8:04
  • of smoke but at least you can see
  • 8:06
  • exactly how the Tross fell into the
  • 8:08
  • water there and again let's take a look
  • 8:10
  • at this one once again in slow

  • motion and so here again I have it slow

  • down uh 3x from the original speed so

  • it's playing at
  • 8:24
  • 1/3 and look see you can see the truss

  • there falling gently down into the water
  • 8:29
  • look at that perfect it perfectly

  • separated just as they had planned it to

  • so this proves that these guys really

  • are the best of the

  • best now here's a great view of what it

  • looks like back on the back end of the

  • dolly on the stern and they're walking

  • across the deck here over to the port

  • side where you can see one of the

  • contractors is there looking over at
  • 8:55
  • their work just after the implosion had

  • got off and there you can see see the
  • 8:59
  • smoke and the truss that had fallen into

  • the water

  • there right off of the
  • 9:06
  • bow and there is a nice drone view

  • looking straight down on the fruits of

  • CDI and then of course they provided

  • the right and what a view of the space

  • in between the containers there on the

  • deck and there's the space left over

  • after it fell into the
