Burgess COMMENTARY
This is an expensive car ... very expensive!
I don't expect to own a car like this, but I respect the engineering and workmanship that goes into a vehicle like this.
Early in my career I worked at a heavy engineering company in Sheffield ... Davy United Engineering Company ... that built the machinery for steel mills. This was truly 'heavy' engineering. One of my colleagues who worked with me (and somewhat more established than me) had two cars ... one for going to and from work and one for touring! The latter was a Bentley from the 1920s and '30s which he maintained himself. It was a sports car similar to the ones that were winning major races before the war. I remember helping him while he was working on the gearbox and comparing the vast size and strength of the gears in the Bentley compared with the tiny gears in my own little car ... an Austin Mini!!!!!!
When he got married, he travelled to the continent in his Bentley with his wife ... and when he was in Italy the car had a problem and he had to abandon the car to have it returned to Sheffield and then carried on with his honeymoon in a rented Volkswagen!!!!!!!

This is not the car referred to above ... but very similar!!!!!
