Burgess COMMENTARY
The word IMPACT is used a lot ... but it is usually not very clear whether the impact is good or bad and where the impact is being experienced. Many activities in the real world have both a good component and a bad component, in fact perhaps many good components and many bad components. In most cases in order to have good impact there must be some bad impact. Energy is a case in point. It is energy more than anything else that has enabled a better quality of life for this generation of the world's population, yet it is energy that is doing the most damage to the future sustainability of planet earth. Both good and bad exist at the same time ... and this must be understood and then this must be addressed.
