Goodbye From This New World

Dear readers, welcome to the last This New World email. ‌

We have spent the past three and a half years documenting some of the huge global problems we face — from climate change to inequality — and spotlighting those at the forefront of efforts to tackle them.

‌ Our stories have taken us around the world: to Brazil, Australia, Kenya, Sweden, South Korea and Thailand, among many other countries. We are proud to have covered so many underreported stories and to have brought you journalism that didn't just flag the problems but also revealed the solutions being developed: the fixes, the alternatives, and the people behind them. We aimed to tell stories in a way that gives hope for the future, that shows there are answers to the crises we face.

‌ But most of all, we're proud of the community that came together along the way — you, our readers! Thank you for reading, engaging and getting in touch. It meant the world to us. ‌

For now, we'll leave you with 10 of our favorite stories from across the series. We hope you enjoy them.

‌ Goodbye!

Laura
