Hi Peter,
Capitalism in its current form permits and incentivises companies to pursue business models that create widespread environmental and social damage. This damage doesn’t appear on their books and is instead passed on to others. This, in a large part, is why we’re faced with many of the social inequalities and environmental risks that we see today.
However, the winds of change are blowing. Companies, investors, public bodies and many others are looking to rewire capitalism so that it works for the environment, society and business. One man leading this charge is the veteran British impact financier Sir Ronald Cohen.
Sir Ronald Cohen recently spoke as part of our Transform Europe 2020 Virtual Series and was then subsequently interviewed by Oliver Balch about his vision, and mission, to get capitalism back on track through impact-weighted accounting.
