Not dealing with long term cooling into the next glaciation and CO2 declining below the phtosynthetic limit are far greater threats causing reduced or no agriculture. The quick answer is I graduated from Cambridge in 1961 after studying engineering and economics, became a Chartered Accountant in 1965 and became a very young corporate financial executive in the USA helping to improve profit performance. Did my first independent consulting assignment for the World Bank in 1978 and subsequently did assignments for the UN and others in around 50 countries. Some of the people doing this work are amazing ... but the systemic management issues constraining development progress have gone unresolved for a very long time! Currently I am working to develop an easy system of enhanced accounting to embrace social impact and environmental impact as efficiently as we account for profit and financial wealth impacts. | |||||||||
