Nadya Zhexembayeva is the Coca-Cola Chaired Professor of Sustainable Development at IEDC- Bled School of Management, an executive education center based in Slovenia, where she teaches courses in leadership, organizational behavior, strategy, change management, design thinking, and sustainability.
As a business owner, Nadya oversees a group of companies active in real estate, investment and consulting industries.
Her recent client engagements include The Coca-Cola Company, ENRC Plc, Erste Bank, Henkel, Knauf, and Vienna Insurance Group. She also serves as Vice-President of Challenge:Future, a global student think tank and innovation competition.
In her speech with the title 'Overfished Ocean Strategy: Powering Up Innovation for a Resource-Deprived World' she shows us an alternative to our throwaway-economy, which has no future anymore. A new innovative idea, like this concept of a sustainable economic system is exactly what our resource-deprived world needs right now.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Nadya hinted at the logical new path to follow when she mentioned 'with the exception of the Tesla outside the building.' What Nadya suggests is what every marketing firm seeks to find, the right language, the proper slogan, the winning formula. It's not easy because the 'best' minds in advertising and design go where they can find the most money, which is usually corporate accounts. Ah, if there was a renewed sense of ethics in how and where we choose to unfold our creativity. Nadya herself as described here, owes a lot of her current authority from an association with Coca-Cola, a company which certainly needs to clean, or green, its own international house!

Very eloquent and hopeful. I worry about my children's world we have left them. They are only 7 but we have talked about this and what is ahead of them. They are aware and thinking.
Nadya - would love to see a video directed to children which could be shared nation and world wide.
