Robin Millington is Director, Global Alliances, for the EAT Foundation, which was created in 2016 as a platform to convene global stakeholders in the food system to seek solutions for feeding the growing international population a healthy and nutritious diet within planetary boundaries. Robin is responsible for co-creating the Food and Land-Use Coalition (FOLU) an innovative global platform of over 30 funding and delivery partners seeking to create a sustainable food system by 2050. 

Prior to joining the EAT Foundation in 2016, Robin spent nearly 7 years at the European Climate Foundation. She has led organisations including the Centre for European Policy Studies and Wetlands International. Earlier in her career, she negotiated a joint-venture in the former Soviet Union, which now stands as the largest IT services firm in Russia today. 

A dual American-Dutch national, with a degree from Stanford University (USA) and an MBA from INSEAD (France), Robin has international experience spanning six continents. 

As well as serving as Vice-Chair of the Board of Gold Standard, she is a member of the Advisory Council for the JustDiggIt Initiative. 

Dr. Meinrad Bürer is Chair of Gold Standard’s Technical Advisory Committee and member of Gold Standard’s Board of Directors.

Meinrad is also Director of Research & Development at EcoAct, a private consultancy helping firms and governments to develop climate change strategies.

He has previously served as Senior Research Associate at the University of Geneva’s Institute for Environmental Sciences, with research interests including energy and climate policies, modelling and optimisation of energy systems, and low carbon and climate resilient development pathways. 
Meinrad has also worked as Senior Officer, Climate Change Mitigation, for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). Prior to his role within the IFRC, he served as Technical Director for The Gold Standard Foundation for six years, after working for E4tech, a specialised private sector firm which provides consultancy services in the field of sustainable energy markets, policies and technologies.

Meinrad started his career as a research engineer, working on modelling and multi-criteria optimisation of integrated energy systems at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne (EPFL). He has also been a visiting researcher at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, California, where he conducted multi-criteria analysis of carbon abatement projects.

Meinrad holds a PhD in modelling and optimisation of energy systems, and M.Sc Degrees in both Energy Economics & Management and Mechanical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne (EPFL).
