Orgnizations Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE-Egerton) Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE-Egerton) Mission/Vision A non-profit global partnership between academia and business world with over two thousand teams in over forty countries. SFE Kenya was launched in 2003 with teams in fifteen Universities. SIFE Egerton launched in 2005 and has been involved in empowering individuals and the communities through free enterprise education through projects chosen by the team. What does the organization do? SIFE involves college or University students educating others with the help of a Business Advisory Board on the six PILLARS of SIFE. Market Economics, Entrepreneurship, Business Ethics, Financial Literacy, Success Skills and Sustainability. This is done through practical interactions between the students involved in the projects and the communities both within and outside the University or College. Opportunities for Youth The long-term opportunities for the youth, are; better communication skills, time management skills, project management skills, economic entrepreneurial opportunities, job opportunities, and teamwork. This helps in bringing the youth and the communities together thereby fostering peace among one another while at the same time striving to fulfill the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
