CHANGE THE DC WEEKEND
For what its worth here is the story of Jim Kim as one of the millennial world's 10 biggest job creators that I am working on in time to post out to shareholders of the Economist on its 175th birthday of being founded to mediate end to hunger and end to capital abuse of youth. Can you help Jim Kim fulfill the role that now needs to link together the 10% of people with a millennial mindset ( the young at heart) so they defeat the voice/unsustainable systems of the 90% who are old at heart ? And how does it link to roles of other top 10 youth jobs co-creators? (eg girlpower videos 1 2 3)
ARE YOU READY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecnl3up-8JM#t=11
Part 1 of The story is Jim Kim is the first world bank ceo ever who would rather be expelled from the job than be sidetracked from celebrating the experiences he has of what works in such practice explorations as:
bottom-up health empowerment at partners in health
campaigning to end the world bank at 50
noting consequences of total value chain transformation - in the case of fast affordable hiv drug innovation - this meant disturbing both the national institute of health, the federal drug admin, and big pharma from their usual standards as well as all the politicians of presidents funds and usaid of inside the beltway
so to help with part 1 you can either find health networkers who agree with above or you can propose in your own practice area what is a parallel challenge
Part 2 is millennials must-needs be empowered to be at epicentre of millennium goals Jim Kim talks of what are the 2 defining social movements of the net generation and how to map them back by 2030; he's quite happy to only be applauded when he gets his friend Ban Ki-Moon to join in Gangnam style dancing on stage; both have committed to annual youth summits and annual postins of ideas by millennials; Jim Kim goes on change the world MOOCS; there he described problems - can the young professional associates exorcise all the old mindsets in the world elite institutions of aid; so what was interesting yesterday was when near the end said I know many of us are glad that this subject area of ours has been asked to review what it knows by jim kim himself; but I warn you I think he's currently inviting a far bigger inter-expert picture than we know within our own expertise. Those words were at least hopeful. I have over last year attended 10 parallel expert debriefings inside worldbank where the old majority said no such thing.
And part 3 is when Jim Kim tells such stories to eg change the world MOOCS as I used my Spanish to call off and speak to the Pope and ask how to linkin with his curriculum of the number 1 role of public servants henceforth must be to end inequality. This is no longer just a moral value- in the world digital media has opened up their positions cant be peacefully sustained unless they change constitutional roles around this. Perhaps it is no wonder that when the world bank starts up its 2013 youth summit is first panel is moderated by the daughter of Mo Ibrahim's foundation while the speakers are youth (open source and open education) technologists
FUTURE HISTORY ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS
So Peter whether Jim Kim Just Does IT at top of World Bank or by being expelled from the World Bank with youth , map the future back of what he stands for - what the old world bank did isn't actually relevant to celebrating this top 10 world record job creator
Next Youth Summit World Bank 6 October; next millennials only post-in your ideas to Jim Kim and Ban Ki-Moon Spring 2015

Dear Chris, Naysa, Andrew
I enjoyed yesterday (Thursday) ... and would very much have like to be in the Washington area again for Saturday ... but while my enthusiasm is high my energy level will not allow it.
By the end of yesterday I was working on adrenaline ... and I have not produced much of any value today. My hope is that a lot of the 'inputs' from yesterday will help inform my thinking a bit as we go forward.
Getting back to Washington for the event being organized by Tebabu Assefu would have been fantastic ... it would have helped me to rethink my Ethiopian experiences from years ago.
Being in the World Bank yesterday was bitter-sweat ... I watched World Bank (and IFC) operations from 1978 through the 80s and the 90s ... but while there were changes for the better, so much that could have and should have been changed was ignored. Of course, my biggest issue was the massive amount of numerical stupidity that was going on which enabled massive corruption ... and a terrible unwillingness to let accountants do what accountants do to make this sort of abuse difficult if not impossible.
Wish I was going to see you tomorrow ... but hopefully will be seeing you all again soon.
Peter

I am quite a close associate of this summits Ethiopian organiser Tebabu Assefa http://www.whitehouse.gov/champions/american-diaspora-communities/tebabu-assefa My friend and first female director of Grameen Phone Naila Chowdhury www.women4empowerment.org as will Anna Lu who has flown in from San Diego to connect her youth and womens networks as a professor of community regeneration at university of san diego
Tebabu's friend Noah Samara launched Africa's first satellite - Samara is now focused on elearning http://yazmi.com/ ; I am not sure if Samara will be there on Saturday but elearning (eg MOOC, Khan academy) is I believe the pivotal way to get back to net generation ownership of millennial goals
The last week of September sees 3 events we are trying to interconnect
