Why Do People Struggle to Get Rich While Others Do it Easily?

Have you ever wondered why some people are able to achieve success in a very short period in time while others struggle for years and yet still do not see any fruits? I have been reading and looking for the answers and I realize that the magic formulae is to simply follow what the rich people do! Isn't it obvious?

To me here are the five most important principles:

Principle 1: Don't struggle and learn from scratch. Many people have walked the path that you are planning to walk. Their struggles and pitfalls are all documented. Learn from their mistakes so that you do not have to go through their pains to achieve success.

Principle 2: You must have passion in what you do. Passion gives you energy and energy gives you the drive to succeed. In anything you do, you need energy to do well. Success does not come overnight. You need to work hard and you need constant motivation. Having a passion in what you do will make it easier for you as you will derive pleasure and joy from doing it. Pleasure and joy is motivating.

Principle 3: Run your own business. To be rich, you should run your own business. Being an employee means you are trading your personal time for money. You need to be able to trade your personal effort and leverage other people's time and effort for money i.e. more effort you put in, more you should get. Running a business means you have control and flexibility to use other resources to help you grow the business and make more money.

Principle 4: Get a mentor(s). Find someone who is successful and whom you can discuss issues with and seek advice. Bounce ideas off them and share with them your challenges. Your mentor(s) may provide you with solutions to your challenges which you may never even think of. They may give you ideas which may accelerate your business success.

Principle 5: Invest to grow your money. Money does not grow on trees and to get more money you need to learn how to invest. Your source of income from your business may dry up if your business folds, so you need to make sure that whatever you earned today, you need to invest to generate additional income. Create the investment goose so that you can enjoy the golden eggs.

Well, easier said then done. The problem with us is we learn and learn but we do not put them into practice! To succeed we need to act.
