STEWART WALLIS DIRECTEUR GÉNÉRAL, NEW ECONOMICS FOUNDATION Stewart Wallis est diplômé de l’Université de Cambridge en Sciences Naturelles. Il débute sa carrière dans le marketing et la vente chez Rio Tinto Zinc puis poursuit une Maîtrise en Economie d’Entreprises à la London Business School. Il travaille durant sept ans à Washington au sein de la Banque Mondiale sur le développement industriel et financier en Asie de l’Est. Stewart Wallis intègre ensuite Robinson Packaging dans le Derbyshire (compté dans l’Est de l’Angleterre) pendant neuf ans, dont les cinq dernières en tant que Directeur Général, menant avec succès le redressement de l’entreprise. Il rejoint Oxfam en 1992 comme Directeur International avec sous sa responsabilité 2500 salariés dans 70 pays. Il s’occupe de l’ensemble des travaux d’Oxfam : politique, recherche, développement et secours d’urgence, dans le monde entier. Stewart a rejoint net (new economics foundation) le 1er Novembre 2003 en tant que Directeur Général. Ses domaines d’intervention : gouvernance générale, fonctionnement des marchés, liens entre développement et environnement, l’avenir du capitalisme et l’économie morale.
