Dear Christina I am trying to stay connected with everyone, but it is getting complicated. I want to explore with Kalle how his Ball system might be used in connection with my work on metrics. I have still some learning curve to do in order for this to help me, but it might be something that works.
There is a big interest in metrics ... and I think what I have is heading in the right direction. I don't know whether you have already got these links already, but if not, here is a URL:
There is a 2 page pdf introduction to MDIA, and a longer 32 page pdf with the information in some more detail. I have been working on a book length report, but this still has a lot of work to do, and I am putting more focus now on getting some practical examples functioning. I am somewhat optimistic that there will be significant progress on metrics in the near future ... and, in fact, my work may well be overtaken by a new generation of system thinkers who understand better that I what is possible. In any event it is getting exciting. I can imagine that your metrics might be useful for how we want to establish the B-Base with Kalle. We have to decide on what form the input should take and that might be a way of guiding people volunteering ideas to input the sort of info we need - and give us a measurement instrument for seeing if they met their targets. I'll let you know what we get done when we meet in Finland. Cheers, Christina On 10/21/13 6:49 PM, Peter Burgess wrote: --------------------
