Sustainability at ICAEW Our intention and focus. Our ambition is to change behaviour to drive sustainable outcomes. To do this, we aim to be bold, radical and open-minded. The unifying theme of our work is exploring how organisations and markets are motivated to deliver sustainable outcomes and what the role of information flows is in that. We aim to be at the forefront of thinking and action in sustainability focussing on how organisations embrace it in their activities. We’re looking at and thinking about many different aspects in sustainability:

What we’ve done Just Good Business To support SME members, ICAEW developed an online resource centre for SMEs to engage in sustainability on a strategic level. The project aims to promote the positive impact of sustainability and to provide practical examples of success which inspire SME managers. The website features short video clips from a range of SMEs in the UK and has obtained funding from AAT. Guidance for Members on Environmental Issues and Annual Financial Reporting – with the Environment Agency ... This report published with the support of the Environment Agency is being updated. The original report showed how the existing accounting and reporting framework, including the business review, is already capable of generating useful information about environmental performance, one of the key dimensions of sustainability. Carbon reduction ICAEW and the Carbon Trust Standard published ‘The Growing Business Guide’, which offers practical ways on how you can reduce carbon emissions in your organisation. Business Sustainability Programme: The Business Sustainability e-learning programme (BSP) aims to raise awareness of the business case for Corporate Responsibility and the issues which face companies in becoming sustainable We welcome your views.
