Job Description: The Asset Transfer Associate will work as a member of the Asset Management team, and will be responsible for managing all aspects of the asset transfer process. This includes normal home sales, where a SolarCity customer transfers the asset of their solar system to the new homebuyer, as well as foreclosure and short sale situations where new potential customers are unfamiliar with the solar asset. The position will work closely with customers, estate agents, trustees, and escrow agents to ensure an efficient execution of the asset transfer before escrow. The AT Associate will interact daily with internal SolarCity teams, primarily in Sales, Legal, Finance, and Customer Care. Strong project management, contract administration and outstanding negotiation skills are required. The ideal candidate would be familiar with real estate transactions, and must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining excellent customer service levels, often in difficult circumstances. Additionally, the candidate should have strong phone, writing, follow up and problem-solving skills and should be results-oriented to deliver to the customers’ expectations whilst protecting the interests of the Company and its investors. The candidate will have training & ongoing resources available for understanding the role and to answer questions, however, the candidate must be able to organize and prioritize their own workflow independently, communicate problems, and work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision. The position will require both broad understanding and attention to detail; for example, the ability to creatively offer solutions within financial guidelines, and rigorously document actions taken on each case for future reference. Responsibilities: • Asset Transfer – Effectively manage all aspects of the Asset Transfer process • Relationship Management – Develop and maintain a caring & professional relationship with customers. • Document Management – Prepare, review, amend and execute documents in accordance with relevant policies. Ensure all customer asset transfers are correct and complete • Database Management – Manage daily functions using SolarCity’s customized system including inputting appropriate notes for all tasks and progressing projects status • Problem Solving - Identify common issues and develop suitable solutions to handle inquiries in a timely manner • Project Management –Communicate & coordinate with internal departments in addition to customers and outside contacts to complete asset transfer effectively and promptly Requirements: • 3+ years of experience in a customer facing, project management type role (or similar) is strongly preferred • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, with the flexibility to adapt quickly to change • Sensitivity to deadlines & the ability to produce high-quality work with attention to detail • Proficient in the use of Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat Professional, MS Office, and able to learn new software/tools with minimal supervision • Candidate who is polite, efficient, and organized in all oral and written communication • Candidate who empathizes with and cares about customers who may be experiencing personal or financial hardship, whilst maintaining an appropriate professional relationship and protecting the interests of SolarCity • Ability to maintain and build a good reputation with external parties, including title companies, real estate agents, brokers & banks, as well as internal colleagues • Candidate who can keep a calm, collaborative and positive demeanor under requests from multiple counterparties • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required • Excellent customer service skills required • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check Benefits: • Paid training with the nation’s leader in solar power and energy efficiency • Great people committed to making the world a better place • Full benefits including health, vision, dental insurance • 401k plan and stock options • Career path opportunities for top performers • Holiday Parties, Earth Team community group, discount gym membership, and more!
