Infograph on the amazing growth of Twitter

Burgess COMMENTARY
All the statistics in this inforgraph are amazing ... but beyond the purely numerical growth was the valuation growth and the growth projected for advertising revenue.

I would like to know the underlying thoughts used to determine valuation at the various stages of Twitter history ... and expect it was something to do with the investors' thinking about how Twitter would monetize its use base either by selling data or by selling advertising.

Though advertising is a driver of many, if not most, free services I have not seen much discussion about the dynamics of advertising ... the good and the bad associated with the advertising industry.
