The issue of workplace conditions has been in play in all of history, and it is only in the last century that significant progress has been made to make the workplace safe. Even so, there are still many countries where workplace conditions are still unsafe and workers at risk. Many products are being manufactured in unsafe workplaces with low wage labor in supply chains where there is little transparency and accountability and sold to uninformed or misinformed customers.
