Are we consuming too much? ... Journal-of-Economic-Perspectives-2004
Given the academic team involved with this study I expected something useful to emerge, but was disappointed.
My impression is that the academic approach has rigor, but in the end the outsome is not the precurser to any action, even though the issue they are addressing is very important ... that is, the underlying sustainability of everything!
