Tesla is gearing up for its first quarter earnings report, following record deliveries in Q1 2023. Elon Musk's announcement of price cuts in January raised eyebrows amongst investors and competitors alike, but will prove beneficial in the long run for scaling up the production of the Model 3 and Model Y. Tesla's aim is to make sustainable energy accessible to the masses and the price cuts help achieve that. The company is also expanding its factories, including Gigafactories in Texas and Berlin, and has Giga Mexico in the works for next year. Despite media concerns over slowing demand, Tesla's aim is to deliver a consistent number of cars every day throughout the quarter as it expands, meaning higher-than-usual inventory levels are part of the new deliver schedule.
