Original article: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47_E_FPOrD4 Peter Burgess COMMENTARY In my view, Joe Biden delivered a brilliant and powerful message in his State of the Union message to Congress and the American people. Clearly the elected respresentatives of the GOP did not like quite a lot ... in fact, most ... of what he said. This not simply a 'pity', but has the potential to be very dangerous for the country. The fact that the GOP has any support at all from the American electorate is bothersome ... but not that surprising. It is convenient but lazy to blame the people who get the news and its diet of weak reporting or outright propaganda, but rather there is a need to point the finger at the system that is the media itself. It is appalling in my view that the media is tolerating its abysmal performance ... and it is pretty clear the media owners are root cause of the problem, not the reporters and the people who do the hard work of reporting and getting the news published or aired.
