George Morgan-Grenville
CEO & Founder @Red Savannah Ltd
The catalyst for George’s sense of wanderlust was undoubtedly a commission in the British Army (Coldstream Guards) where his numerous adventures included sailing to the Falkland Islands on the commandeered cruise liner SS Uganda, patrolling the Sino-Hong Kong land border, and taking an expedition from Tangier into the Moroccan Sahara. Despite gaining a Fast-Stream pass in the Foreign Office exam, it was travel that was to be his passion for the next 30 years.
Milestone adventures include being the first westerner to travel through Central Asia by private saloon railcar in 1990, and planning and accompanying HRH Prince of Wales both in the Himalayas, and on safari in Tanzania. During his career, George has run several major travel companies in the UK, Thailand, Malaysia and the USA. He founded Red Savannah in 2011 and was delighted to see it win the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2020.

Katherine Hooker
Founder & Creative Director @Katherine Hooker London
Born in Cyprus into an American family and brought up in French-speaking Africa until she was 10 years old, Katherine’s earliest memories are full of colour, intrigue and nostalgic abandon. In the summer of 2003, Katherine boarded a plane to India armed with a suitcase full of tweeds. Working closely with a village tailor in Kerala, she designed a classic winter coat - the braid coat, perfecting the cut and detail. Three weeks later, Katherine touched down in London with six original coat designs and Katherine Hooker London was born. Like Katherine herself, the designs are wholly individual: vintage East Coast America fuses with contemporary England, glinting with subtle references to people and places that have sparked her creative vision along the way.
