Burgess COMMENTARY | ||
The Fourteen Stations of the Cross Throughout Lent and Holy Week, the Fourteen Images of the Stations of the Cross will be on display around the Nave at the Church of the Heavenly Rest in New York. The devotions known as the Way of the Cross is an adaptation of a custom observed by pilgrims to Jerusalem: the offering of prayer at a series of places in that city associated with our Lord’s Passion and death. The images were created by James deWoody.
