Burgess COMMENTARY
This promises to be an interesting call. Whenever I think about anything to do with the state of global health I think back to the hope of Almaty 1978 and the relatively tiny progress compared to what has been possible. I argue that the progress of science has been amazing while the structure of the health industry remains in the stone age and largely gamed for the benefit of rather few.

World TB Day: Join the conference call

Every day, tuberculosis kills thousands in poor countries. And for more than two decades, we've worked to find and treat those most affected, from Peru to Siberia and around the world.

In honor of World TB Day, on March 24, we're hosting a conference call with Chief Program Officer Ken Himmelman and Drs. Carole Mitnick and Salmaan Keshavjee—two of our foremost experts on TB care.

Register to join the conference call Tuesday, March 24, 7 p.m. EDT, using the form on the right.
