TVM ... accounting for valuadd as well as money profit
TrueValueMetrics (TVM) is a system that complements money profit accounting systems so that there is accounting and reporting of economic activity that includes not only money cost, revenue and profit, but also value consumption, value creation and valuadd or value destruction. The system is designed for use in organizations that engage in economic activity of all sorts as well as by individuals, families and communities that are impacted by the economic activity of organizations. Conventional money accounting is many hundred years old and designed so that investors would get an accounting. It has been in its modern form since quite early in the Victorian era! TVM is new and designed so that people impacted by economic activity will get a comprehensive accounting. TVM uses many of the concepts that have been developed in recent years for measuring the many aspects of social impact as well as environmental impact. TVM also uses the balance sheet change to facilitate easy accounting for progress. Most performance is a function of the pace of progress taking into consideration the consumption of resources.
