I was never a fan of Vice President Dick Cheney. I always thought he was too much of a 'hawk' and especially in the run up to the Iraq War in 2003 when he was Vice President.
His daughter, Representative Liz Cheney, Republican from Wyoming has now become one of my favorite people in Congress. She has been speaking out during the period since January 6th (2021) against Trump's 'Big Lie' and about the GOP talking points on the events of January 6th.
The true character of Vice Preseident Cheney and Representative Liz Cheney was on full display when they were practically the only Republicans present during the Congressional Remembrance of January 6th organized by Speaker Pelosi.
Liz-Cheney's character is also on display every time she faces down GOP enablers who are bad-mouthing anything and everything that is being done in Congress to learn about everything that happened on January 6th and the runup to the storming of the Capital.
This incident where Liz Cheney pushes back against Trump and the ongoing GOP narratice is perfectly in character for her. Bravo!
