When Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) posted a photo of his visit to former President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago luxury golf community, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) wasted no time firing back to mock their meeting.
On Tuesday, May 4, Cruz shared the photo as he tweeted about Trump's intentions regarding the upcoming 2022 primary election. 'Had a great dinner tonight with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago,' Cruz tweeted along with the photo of himself and Trump. 'He's in great spirits! We spent the evening talking about working together to re-take the House & Senate in 2022.'
The next day, the Democratic lawmaker retweeted Cruz's post with a caption that read, 'Nothing like reminiscing about attempted coups over a bouquet of flowers.'
