Possible political, economic and legal consequences of Irish reunification

DATE Tue, 23 Mar 2021 18:00 - 19:00 GMT about 1:00 pm EDT Dear Mr Burgess, I am writing to invite you to a special seminar hosted by Sidney Sussex College on Tuesday 23 March entitled ‘Possible political, economic and legal consequences of Irish reunification’. The discussion will be led by Fellow in History, Professor Eugenio Biagini, who will be in conversation with Sidney alumnus, Jim O’Callaghan T.D. Jim O’Callaghan has been a T.D. (Member of the Irish Parliament) for Fianna Fáil since 2016 and is his party’s justice spokesperson. Jim sits on the Committee on Finance and the Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science in the current (33rd) Dáil (Irish Parliament). Representing the Dublin Bay South constituency, Jim is a senior counsel and previously was a councillor on Dublin City Council. I very much hope that you will be able to join us for what promises to be an engaging and lively discussion on Tuesday. The event will start at 6 pm GMT. Please use the link provided to register: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/possible-political-economic-and-legal-consequences-of-irish-reunification-tickets-146510909073 While we appreciate that the international nature of our community will mean that, regrettably, the time difference will make attendance difficult for some of our members, please rest assured that the event will be recorded and made available for viewing later this week.
