It was incited. It was orchestrated. Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, and dozens of Republicans in Congress put our republic in great danger. Each and every one of them have broken their oaths of office. Now they must be removed from power. We will not simply ‘move on’ from this moment. We are demanding accountability. Will you join AOC in signing on to Rep. Cori Bush’s legislation calling for the investigation and expulsion of every single lawmaker who incited this violent attack on our democracy? Sign your name now. Remove them from office » Josh Hawley baselessly attacked our elections, fist-pumped insurrectionists, then raised money for his campaign during the chaos. Ted Cruz’s craven, self-serving actions also contributed to the attempted coup – and the five deaths that occurred during it, including the death of a Capitol Police officer. And Cruz also raised money off of the riot, sending a text message hours into the attack that lauded Cruz for “leading the fight.” These men, and the dozens of others who aided them, are wholly unfit for office. They must be investigated for sanction and expulsion immediately, which is why Alexandria is co-signing Rep. Cori Bush’s bill to investigate and expel them from Congress.
