I was a very young CFO in my 20s some 50 years ago and learned the difference between talk and walk. Today the talk is impressive enabled by social media and conferences, but the walk that is needed to move the needle is still missing. Until we improve the metrics used to inform the media and the talk, the business world and investors will continue to do the same old same old.
