The Far Right thinks our freedom is theirs to take. In state after state, extremists are redrawing voting maps and writing laws to give themselves a permanent grip on the ballot box.

Citizen Action of New York just helped break the GOP’s stranglehold over their state legislature. For the first time in decades, a progressive agenda is on the move.
Legislators People's Action members helped elect in New York have already passed protections of reproductive freedom that are stronger than Roe, reforms for survivors of domestic violence, critical criminal justice reforms and access to early voting.
This is the kind of real change we need. We can win, but only with your help.
New York's progressive champions are just getting started. They’re working to pass single-payer health care, a path to 100 percent renewable energy, economic development reforms and rent protections for tenants statewide.

In district after district, members of Citizen Action and other People's Action member groups went door to door to engage voters around the issues and support first-time candidates who would be champions of the people. And they won.
